Area and Coordinates: Upper Jeuno, Mog House

Was in Mog house in Upper Jeuno sending messages out off friend's list.
Went to type a message to one of my Japanese friends and could not get the auto-translate to work to say: {Limit} {Quest} {Team up?}.
Tried the next night and same thing. Tried again and again til I finally gave up.
Logged off.
Logged onto the forums to find out if anyone else had this problem.

Could you give some more details such as what terms you are talking of exactly or if the Auto-Translate function is not working at all?

If it's about items that aren't in the list by default, you need to update the list when you have the item, or use the /translate command on any item you want to be translated, then open the chat dialogue, by default, press space, then Tab, and Esc away (obviously assuming a PC-environment).
Now the items you have 'seen' should be in the list.

Either way, you will need to provide the information specified in the Post: Format on In-Game Bugs Thread before the officials can forward your report. ^^;

Ah ok. The information I meant to show was that just saying locations in auto-translate like for example {gather together} {La Thaine Platue} @ 22:00 (JP)
That would no longer be able to go into a message and I couldn't understand how come. Like tonight I was going to send him a message asking him to go with me for the Limit Break to 99 in a message but I couldn't get the translator to work. :(

I tried again tonight and same thing with the auto-translate for in-game message writing.
Finally just sat in Jeuno with my item and did a shout party for the fight.

Hello Logandor,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We just want to ask a few additional questions regarding your concern.

Did this begin after you had disconnected from the game? If so, you may want to run a file check on your FFXI game data from the POL viewer login screen to resolve the issue. Also, make sure you do not have any background applications or programs running at the same time when playing the game.

Please let us know if this resolves your issue, or if you are still having trouble. Thank you!

Hello Qeepel,
To answer the questions,No this happened before I had disconnected from the game. I had my character online while I was typing messages to my friends.
The only background application I have running is my virus protection.
