Ok, so I was wondering the community's opinions on two things that popped in my head the other day, if it's good, maybe we can get some Reps to pass it on to the developers!

1) Unbridled Learning should work on a Stratagem/Quick Draw type of system with charges.

--- I kinda wish Unbridled Learning worked on charges because of the situational use of most of the spells. It wouldn't even have to be many charges, two max on a recharge of 2m30s - 5min wouldn't be bad.

2) If the prior isn't possible, I would think that Azure Lore would give us free access to those spells on the Unbridled Learning list.

--- It just kinda logically makes sense, Scholar's 2hr ability allows them free usage of their stratagems and specific spells exclusive to their 2hr, shouldn't ours?

Good idea, we have way to many spells to choose from to only be using once every 5min.

Both of those are good ideas. Adding that aspect to Azure Lore would open up some interesting skillchain possibilities, too.

Everything on the Unbridled Learning spell-list is situational at present anyway, except Bloodrake being slightly better than our other physical spells. I don't think being able to use Tourbillion with a little more flexibility would break FFXI.

I was just thinking about a stratagem charge type of system for Unbridled Learning yesterday, actually. +1.

Was thinking about something like this too. Hopefully they consider this. +1

Would be nice for down the road if they add more spells. As it stands what we got is pretty situational so it's not a real game changing if it was implemented for the next update.

Would prefer if they DIDN'T add any more spells to our already crowded list of only usable every 5 minutes magic tbh... any new magic from here on should be in the form of regular, settable spells.

...and if the spells weren't situational, it would kind of defeat the purpose of tying that many spells to a single 5 minute ability in that all but one would be useless.

This is true. Ideally, Unbridled Learning spells should be situational but incomprehensibly awesome for that particular situation. Tourbillion is a great example. The damage isn't very good, but it has an amazing additional effect and can land that effect on multiple targets.

Sadly, the awesomeness of most of them is well within comprehension.

I was just thinking about this and started to search the forum. UL is like a 2hr to me because the recast time. Don't use it unless the situation calls for. Even though its a 5 min recast I find myself saving it for something dire. For me charges would reduce that behavior. I also would be interested in seeing UL spells have stat bonuses that are activated under the effect of UL. All blue spells give stat bonuses and these should as well. It'll be a nice reward for farming the spells the may never get used.

I'm glad to see that I'm not alone in thinking the current limitations of UL are very restrictive. As much as I love using thunderbolt, I only get to use it once every 5 minutes and essentially prevents me from using Tourbillion, Gates of Hades, or whatever utility spell becomes available with UL. In fact, I find it funny that the spells themselves have a recast timer of their own. I originally came into the BLU forum to post a suggestion about UL being like Tabula Rasa and giving us free use of the spells and still be restricted by the spells' cooldown while still being allowed to use those spells for say 2-3 minutes. However, the strategem idea is actually pretty cool too.

Also, total side thought -- wouldn't Citadel Buster be an awesome UL spell?

it does sound like a UL spell. a lot of biotech weapon moves sound cool tho;

Dissipation
Chemical Bomb
Nuclear waste
Hydro Cannon -could replace Disseverment

didnt they promise us Spike Flail when the forums first started?

Disseverment is still such a boss.

I would love to see an upgrade to it, or maybe even one which puts on Bio :D
