Inventory space is already a problem. If each inventory type has a hard cap of 80 and you're not going to create another type of sack, satchel, etc., then why oh why did you feel the need to introduce 8 more elemental rocks that we need for trials??? Could you not have just made the next level of trial require more geodes?

It's bad enough that we already have 4 different types of seals/crests that serve basically the same purpose. Now we have 8 more things to shuffle around or mule or else 25% of our available inventory will be taken up by crests/seals/geodes/-ites.

I don't know why we can't just go back to killing mobs. It's funny that between the +3 trials which were 40 geodes for minimal bonuses and now these Avatarites they've even managed to make weapons for us commoners a pain in the <Rear>.

A few thousand monster kills under specific conditions of varying difficulty, 55 geodes, and 15 Avatarites per weapon. Double that for dual wielders. God help you if you're a BLM/SCH/RDM/SMN. God help me, I have 2 jobs that dual wield and I have SMN. Forget about me ever becoming a mage of any other type.

What they need to do is get rid of the Avatarites, and divide the 40 geodes evenly between the +3 and +4 trials. That would have been a lot more palatable.

I understand that they want a time sink; I just don't understand why they feel the need to take up all our inventory with eight thousand different collectables that all serve the same basic purpose.

0.o My elementals are still on +2 stages....got a few hundred WS left to finish my last one of those lines to +3, then I'll look into leveling the other jobs and making their +3 elementals. Any details on where these Avatarites come from? If it's not too bad to farm them (as in you can do it solo), 15 may not be too bad for me...although, I will have to farm a few hundred of them... bleh...

They seem to come from high level mobs in place of geodes. I think anything DC or higher to a 95 job. I know I got them off of bats in Garlaige Citadel basement and off of Mourning Crawlers and peapuks in the tree.

hmm... than that may not be too bad if the drop rates are decent. Gonna have 9 jobs to take from 91/92 to 99, most of it probably solo, and DRG is about to ding 94 already just from doing it's TP weapon and a handful of Besieged. Amazes me how stupid easy it is to get XP in this game now....

May just go to older areas instead of abyssea if the book xp isn't too bad. Might help me keep things skilled up tighter too...Parry still hasn't hit 300 yet--getting there, but still a ways to go. May go to the tree and hit the proverbial 2 birds with one stone.

Easy Prey or higher, I got some in Beaucedine (S) and they're all Easy Prey there.

I guess it's based on actual mob level then. I wonder if it will interfere with geode drops. If some mobs that would have dropped geodes now drop Avatarites then... hmmm.

Looks like if you find some Aby mobs 95+, may get some there as well.

I got a few tonight Smacking hounds around in Attowha for my StoreTP PA. They were checking EM and T to me at 93/94 (when I bothered to check them ). People were AOE slaughtering them and fighting the NM, so some may have been a bit higher from time to time though, so it may have been only the 95 ones that dropped them. Got a few more later when I went to Abby Grauberg to skillup PA to 94 caps--T wyverns, and crabs were running T to IT too.

Suggestion: Jeweller NPC.
Someone who will store all your crystals, clusters, geodes and avatarites and maybe do some sort of exchange system, similar to the currency NPCs in ToAU areas

Of course, something so fair and easy would NEVER be implemented

PS. I think the minimum level for an avatarite is 80, certainly 82, as the Seaboard vultures outside of the Tavnazian safehold drop them.
