The new wide macros need some improvement.

Right now there isn't enough contrast between the background of the macro and the lettering. There are white splotches on the upper left and lower right corners of the macro box, this combined with the lighter background color and white lettering makes it considerably less user-friendly than the previous implementation.

Contrast is important. It lets the player quickly identify their macros and improves the flow of the game.

Not to mention a few of us don't want fat macros at all... Give me back my old short macros that I can see at a glance without needing to look back and forth across my screen.

I would love to see an option that allowed us a choice of old style or new fat finger macros.

Personally I like them, though I do agree with the fond fading into the BG a little.

This. The old macro style is still there...we just can't use them now unless we notch the menu resolution down under 1024 on the horizontal to see them. That makes them huge and shoots them half-way across the screen just like the new fat ones.

Give us a toggle to still use the old style. Registry key 0035 still doesn't appear to be bound to anything, maybe they could assign that--or just add another key at the end of the current list.

Yes, I understand they may be a lower pixel count and not be HD, but they were compact, and plenty clear enough to be identified on my 1920/1080 screen--more so than what we have now. And that is why I liked them....they didn't run halfway across the screen, and were packed together nicely so I could spot them easily at a quick glance. With these, it almost feels like I'm turning my head in comparison (not literally, but you do have to track across the screen a lot more than you did with the other ones). And I don't know about the others, but I certainly don't need 8 letters to label my macros....got along just fine with the the old ones for years.

What NEEDED to be tweaked is the restrictions on what we can actually put IN the macros (number of lines and such). But...that is a whole other debate.

It would be nice if we could size them and move them. I could think of a few places on the screen that would be far easier to use now that we can resize the chat log.
