So I shot Rani to try and find red, but got a "Dagger" messege and was like "WTF." So Flaming arrow, is a ruby WS and not an amber or is this a glitch?

The description is a little misleading. Flaming Arrow (and Hotshot for that matter) are physical damage + Additional Effect: Fire. The add effect is a percentage of the damage done based on your TP. This is why it isn't any better on elementals/slimes also. As far as I know, True Flight and Wildfire are the only TRUE ranged elemental weaponskills that ranger can use (corsair gets Leaden Salute instead of True Flight)

I was going to post that the TP mod is misleading...then I realized the above post makes sense. When I was testing Fusetto TP bonus effect on ranged WS, I was getting static results regardless of TP...the concept of the TP bonus affecting an add effect makes sense and explains the static dmg i was doing.

u can tell flaming arrow is not elemental... cause it can miss...
