This is the thread to post your entry for the FINAL FANTASY XI Moogle's Law Contest (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/17824)!

The Community Team created a few examples to get your creative juices flowing!
Camate: If you just ate 3-hour food, you're going to be KO'd in your first fight.
Rukkirii: When you cast invisible and sneak, it will wear off in the middle of a group of magic aggressive monsters.
Bayohne: When rushing to an LS event, you're guaranteed to have forgotten to change from your BLM support job.
Hvinire: When arriving at the BCNM, you've definitely forgotten your orb in storage.
Have fun with your entry, we can’t wait to read them!

Upon killing a NM, the LS leader must make sure everyone passes items in the treasure pool. When it's determined that everyone has passed, the LS leader must zone out of the area, letting all items drop unclaimed, lost forever. Denial and passing the blame is optional.

The airship or ferry will pull out just as you reach the footing to board it, causing you to miss it.

A lesson passed down from adventurer to adventurer from ages' past, the Moogle's Law;
No matter how many jobs you've leveled, no matter how many hours of play time you have, not matter how amazing your gear is, no matter how many members are in your alliance, no matter how many gods you've slain, no matter how times you've averted the apocalypse, somewhere on vana'diel, you will absolutely always be able to encounter a bunny able to kill you as effortlessly as the Citizens of Vana'diel forget who you are.

Moogle’s Law : Vana's Auction House Ironic Rule!
- All news item that put in AH will start with crazy price, and still have some one crazy enough to buy it just for to record as first list.
- If you camp AH for something it's will never have someone put it on sell, but after you turn back to do some events and back it's will already put in and buy by someone.
- if you buy something when the time you see it's already cheap tmw it's will become cheaper and cheaper.
- If you find something that you think it's so cheap to buy on AH and you feel how lucky you can buy it, It's always happen that you make wrong bid form dozen to just single of them, or you just bid on wrong item neither you just put thousand gils instead of hundred.
- If you want to buy something on the price that you think it's reasonable, it's always hard to find ppl sell, but after you sleep and wake, it's become that got that price sold on history and now it's price go up craziness.
- If you do wrong bids on something that must be ten-thousand but you pay mils form it, You will hope that ppl who sell it will be JPs, since you will have some chance to get overprice gils back in del.box tmw.
Just Fact!

The thing you just buy form AH and you think it's godly, after you try it you will found it's just very little boost up yourself, but you still think it's nice to have it, even sometime you feel regret for your gils.

You will be laughed at and called "a dead job." While as if you are one of the following jobs;
Warrior
Monk

White Mage
Black Mage
Bard
Samurai
Ninja
Blue Mage

The first mistake you make, regardless of how small it is, will cause all around you to accuse you of burning the job to be bandwagon and that you have no clue how to play it despite your playtime.

If you try to pull a fomor that is separate from its friends in SW Apollyon it will instead of coming straight for you it will gather its buddies near it, who will then get their friends who will bring even more friends to beat up the offender and his friends.
Whenever you are in the heat of battle, down to the wire, and you have low HP, it is the LAW that the monster deliver a critical hit that just barely dishes out more damage than your HP can support.

Moogle's Law kicked in for me during my group's first Dynamis Xarc run. We entered,buffed and reraised except for one member who instead of using his reraise scroll, warped instead. So, two of us continued on without him, only to be unable to find/get time extensions. So, the second member logged :( I however was determined to prevail with myself (thf) and my whm mule. Lets just say that everytime i pulled id link because one of the nearby mobs would turn right as i pulled its friend. Needless to say I died many times :(
Definitely Moogle's law involved that day...

as a level 60 thf, I was bored and had never seen a wyrm before. So I went to go see Vrtra for the first time ever. After mindlessly running around down there and finding her, I run up to try and mug her for a small handout of gil and a bit of excitement. Mug failed so I popped Perfect Dodge and proceeded to use a warp scroll. Here's where Moogle's Law comes into play. A nearby ghost was not amused at my antics and casted sleep on me right before the warp scroll was about to go off. Needless to say, I got eated by miss Vrtra D:

Gandalf's Clause: YOU... SHALL NOT HAVE!!
Description: An encompassing reason why you will never obtain that rare item because;
Item drops but:
You DC
You're D2'd
You're Kicked
Your party leader dissolves from alliance
You're always out lotted
You become a victim of a Ninja lot
You deserve the lot so everyone passes... cept the player there for their first run who then suddenly afks after outlotting you
You're told to pass cause you have the winning lot and now the ls leader informs you there is a minimal run requirement
You're told to pass because you took a short break from game resetting your rights to the item even though the ls doesn't hold R/L against you
Your ls leader shows up to "help" you then demands the item
You're dual boxing and accidently lotted on the wrong toon
Your second account recieved it in Voidwatch even though it will never be able to use the item
You timed out of dynamis
You passed with everyone else
You can't find anyone to craft the item into something usable
You only had one spot in inventory and that crystal or some other junk fell to you before the item
Your server was shut down for emergency or normal maintenance
You're next for the item but:
Ls leader gives his buddy who just joined the shell the item
Ls leader decided he may level a job that will use it in the future
Ls changes loot system

If an airship is already docked when you arrive at the port it will always leave just as you are about to step on to it regardless of whether you have flee or movement speed gear.
If you disconnect on an airship no matter how quickly you log back intop the game you will always be traveling in the wrong direction and back to where you started.
Whenever a flawless party was about to disband after a fantastic exp session and you decided to kill one more mob for the road the party would wipe for no reason as if a GM had suddenly possessed your last kill.

You're in a hurry and late for an LS event. You leave your Mog house after you're all set. You start running off but you know it's coming... after all it's a power greater than you. As you approach the place the fate you feel a chill down your spine, hands sweating and shaking... You look left, then right. It looks safe somehow, for now... But as you pass through Port Bastok's bridge you hear the dreaded scream... Latifah: Incoming Ship! Everyone off the bridge!

So you get 15 low levels players (keep in mind they are all levels 30-40 and only have around 1-3 Abyssea stones) and go to Abyssea, you now guide those 15 players to camp which takes around 30 minutes. == Moogle's Law ==
You will leave your weapon(s) in your MogHouse as you rush out realizing that the window for the timed NM you've spent a week camping will be opening in just a few minutes, thinking you have it in your MogSatchel. Always bring a Warp Cudgel (equippable by All Jobs)!

that your comp may die on your first time entering dynamis.
upon hitting key to enter, screen freezes, I reset and comp does nothing, seems the power supply started sending bad voltages and fried the motherboard and cpu. Replace comp about a year later, and get back in ffxi two years later, after spending two days on the phone with SE support staff to re-activate the account, and then get my security token that I lost removed from acount, I finally got to go on that dyna run two days later.

Moogle's Law: SE introduces something potentially really awesome, but then just totally messes it up in the end.

Ninjas will always dodge Trick Attack. White Mages will not.
You ask a friend to be your skillchain buddy to unlock the weapon skill from your Nyzul Isle weapon only to realize after 3 hours of slaying crabs you never started the quest. :o

=== Moogle's Law ===
When you want a lottery/timed spawn NM it is never up. When you do not want the NM, it is always up.

Moogle's law: The likelihood of an NM triggering an AoE damage ability is directly in proportion to how close you are when you are raised.
