What quests and vendors sell low level axes and g. axes?
I can't trade with players either.

even on a trial you should be able to use the ah and trade ppls. Did SE make another stupid change?

He wants a GA. I don't think they are buyable from NPCs until 16? I know you can quest the Moth Axe.

yes they did make a change (but its far from stupid) people on free trials can't trade or use ah. They made this change to stop rmt people from abusing the free trial system.

Does FFXI still suffer from the ravages of RMT?
Seems like SE has been quite vigilant in their witch hunt against RMT. Some of the sweeping changes have been great, others not so much.

Still see RMT leech shouts on quetz, that's about it. There's some fishing bots as well I hear.

Usually bad English & a really low price something like "fel cleave brn pt (|do you need it?|) 100k" then you go & see a bunch of naked or lvl 1 RSE dressed ppl with gibberish names, I seen a party of Taru RMT 5 of them got stuff from Cucor prospector (probably the alt way they "farm" gil as its not traceable on ffxiah & GM for STF do look at those records) while the other goes to a convlux.
And I know I'll be called a Rat or other insults but I STF reported the RMT, if people would stop buying gil they would not be around. Wait...back in Astral flow burn days was there ever any ran by RMT like how some FC burns are?
But if you try to MPK RMT you get in more trouble then they do (I.E. back in the day when people would MPK fishbots, before Goblin Bounty Hunters where added)...would like to see that though an RMT FC being MPK'd.

Okay, I have seen those in Port Jeuno. I just thought the bad English was a result of the American educational system.

As for for the trial itself, I wonder if the "new" limitations are only for the 14-day trial?
I would assume it does not refer to the 30-day free time one gets from a retail copy of the game...

The registration codes you apply to your account give you full access to the game's content. The 30 day free period isn't a trial period, it's a thank you for purchasing the game.

Yeah, I don't think I ever thought it as trial, but I'm just not sure of how and where they apply their rules now hehe... It's likely how I was assuming, though.
