Umm didn't they try this before and then they took way the trial ability because of one particular word... RMT.

I seem to remember they came out with the 30 day discs and then there was a huge insurgence of RMT popping up almost every day since all it cost them was the cost of the disc.. Does anyone else have a feeling of Deja Vu here?

Free trial accounts are more limited than they used to be. They can't send tells, trade, bazaar, or sell items on the auction house.

They put a lot of restrictions on trial accounts.

from an RMT Standpoint, They're functionally useless.

If they can still /say, /shout, or /emote they can still be used to advertise.

Anyone else get the email about them offering this again? Two things I thought were refreshing... PC only listed at the bottom of the page and the fact that they are bothering to advertise this to get some fresh blood in.

They can only say, not shout. They can't even send tells out except in reply. Most depressing, the accounts can't even trade for even a linkshell (which is the one limitation I think goes too far, but I suppose making trade only be able to get linkshells would be too hard to code).

Worse comes to worse, SE could just setup filters you could turn on to filter says and emotes from the poor souls who are on trial accounts.

Help me im on the trial account and i cant even get out of my moghouse, my moogle wont speak to me. He gives me the evil 14 day trial filter look please help!!
