Hello..

Over the years, I noticed an enhancement for players with multiple characters, i.e. exchange of r/ex gear on the same account. When I first started playing this game, my brothers created characters all on the same account. If there is evidence of the same ownership of both accounts, then those characters should be able to be transferred.

I know there are concerns of RMT, but there are several ways to combat that.

1. Both accounts must have the same owner (i.e., same credit card information)

2. There's a hefty fee (i.e. $50) per transfer

3. Each account can only do one transfer per quarter

4. Each account can send and/or receive ONE character per transfer

5. Each account must be active for 90 days before being eligible for a transfer.

I haven't played in a few months, so I'm not sure if this has been implemented already. I also posted this comment in so many different FFXI forums, I'm not sure if this was already addressed.

It hasn't, and it will not.

Why should someone paying $12.95+$1 a month for 2 years get a second account for peanuts, when someone else payed $12.95+$12.95 a month for the same duration?

There's also the problem of account transferable EX items..

You aren't supposed to share your account with anyone, anyway.

I'm proposing the exact opposite of what you're implying. The intent is to NOT SHARE AN ACCOUNT. I'm currently paying for 2 accounts with multiple characters. My goal is to have each of those characters on their own account. There is no cost benefit for that if both accounts are being paid by the same person. You'll save $1, but pay an additional $13 for each move.

As for the r/e, that's a self regulated rule that can adjusted for the sole purpose of a character transfer.

Edit: Your concern with money is countered by a lack of playing time by sharing an account. You paid more, but you were able to play more. It's a trade off. Plus that's where the fine comes into play.
