The game is simple. You can swap any combat skill's rating with any other combat skill you posses and the same with magic skills, but not combat for magic or vice versa.

Try to keep your justifications short, if you feel the need to give them.

i guess the easy answer is to completely drop club and throwing, then evenly distribute those points among everything else.

then ditch divine and spread that among the other magic skills... maybe not healing magic though. i'll have to see what se does with adjusting that skill's influence on cure amounts. as is i wouldn't put points there.

i might do the same with dark magic. depending on your sub it could be a useful skill to have or another big waste.

I'd drop Archery (would decide after dropping Club and Throwing if it's worth keeping), Club and Throwing and split it between the rest.

Drop Divine and up Enhancing to A+ and put the remaining in Elemental Magic.

decrease shield for increased parring. Even tho it's silly at this point with shield mastery JT.

Archery is actually semi useful so it's worth keeping. Plus why we dropping anything? Just raise Sword / Dagger to A- and Enhancing magic to A+

Drop Throwing. Seriously, I'd drop Throwing.

If they did it'd be a shame they changed Phalanx's formula, I work it out we'd be able to get ~45 Damage reduction.

You guys are all cheating, only Cid did it right(and i loved the response). The point is to see what you actually value on RDM and what you don't. You can't sacrifice skills, only trade the values.

I guess it doesn't matter if you trimmed skills. I essentially was asking what you don't value and to a lesser extent what you do. I mostly wanted to avoid people saying I want everything to be the best.

For me, I would trade Daggers(F) for Shield(B) and Club(E) for Parry(D) in combat skills. I would trade Healing(E) for Dark Magic(C-).

I'd swap Dagger with Sword.

Dagger B 370
Sword B 370
Club D 310 > Club F 249
Archery D 310

Shield F 249 > Shield D 310

Enhancing Magic B+ 376
Elemental Magic C+ 350
Healing Magic C- 340
Dark Magic E 280
Divine Magic E 280

Aside from that id like to see higher values in select areas. Anyone who says a class having more than one skill above B+ is unlikely for any job has not seen pld's skill list! (Sword A+, Staff A-, Club A-, Shield A+.)

Also sorry to say it manaking, but most forum posters dont read the OP close enough to follow through with directions.

I'm just messing around. I think it is funny people actually vouched for Archery. Side Winder was definitely a good WS back in the day. I think you can technically get the 290 skill one as well if you /RNG.

RDM would be a much healthier job if most of our average skills were a little bit higher. I would appreciate some higer levels in defensive skills, since we currently read D,E,F.

Club <-> Shield (Shield Mastery rules when soloing 20 mandies in front of you :D)
Healing <-> Dark (-60 healing skill lowers Cure IV by something like 3 HP, but improves Drain, Aspir and Bio II/III way more)

For those interested in dumping a skill, F +2 rank, E is +3 rank (H=R0 G=R1 F=R2 etc), so you could drop Throwing from F to H, increasing Shield from F to D, while Divine's E to H boosting Enhancing from B+ to A+ (+2) and Elemental from C+ to B-(+1) OR Dark from E to C (+3).
