Lately I've finally been getting around to finishing my salvage armor sets. I noticed something however, SCH and DNC was never added to the armors. Yes I know 90% of the armors are not really useful these days but with the (hopefully) incoming update to the gear I hope these jobs get added. Even if only for style points.

They're jobs from the past, why would people in Vana'diel's current create armour for them?

Same reason the three nations made Relic armor for three jobs that didn't even exist to them. Is Salvage armor even made? I was under the impression that - just like Nyzul armor - it was salvaged from ruins that predate every job in the game; if not it's made from three pieces of armor that predate every job in the game.
If we really want to use lore as a reason not to give certain equipment to jobs, I'd love to here the lore that dictates what jobs can and cannot wear gear.

While I'm here, I'd quite like to see Scholar on the Dalmatica and Shadow sets of gear; or better yet SE can revive crafting by adding a whole new set of Cursed gear and Abjurations (seriously, why did Einherjar only add two new sets). At the bare minimum it's something to lump together with Walk of Echos and make it a somewhat worthwhile event.

New jobs generally don't get added to old gear, except the basic armors and core stuff that are of the category of armor their job is applied to (e.g. clothing (mages/COR/BRD), light (PUP/THF/DNC/MNK/RDM / medium (RNG/NIN/DRG / heavy armor (DRK/PLD/WAR/SAM)

SOmetimes NEW gear is added to old content, but old gear generally doesn't have jobs added/removed from it. In some cases, they've even conciously avoided adding new jobs, e.g. Kraken club (which was "All jobs," but when the new jobs came out, it became "all jobs except the new ones")

EDIT: was already noted above, COR PUP and BLU having relic is plot hole we can wish away with A Wizard Did it. Or adventurers caused a time paradox by going to the past as those jobs thus introducing them to the war effort.

This is very bad logic and quite frankly not true. Blu and sch were added to genbu shield. Blue and cor on crimson. Blu on homan. Sch and dnc were added to nyzul and assault gear sets. Technically it came out shortly after wotg but dnc was on enkidu.

Either way at the end of the day it doesn't matter. Because it's really silly for an event to have nothing, NOTHING to offer two jobs in the game. Alexandrite for that mythic that a toy for sch and idk how good for dancer... Yippee. At least ein had all job gear for blood. If they are going to revamp salvage they should include sch and dnc on the armor sets.

This is very bad logic and quite frankly not true. There is nothing wrong with the logic, and I said "generally," which allows for the occasional exception. You're absolutely right however that a major event should have something for everyone (though I should point out that most BCNMs do not have something every job can use), but I would personally prefer new items- which we are very likely going to get in the upcoming Salvage renewal.

When new jobs were added to Dynamis, new gear was added for those jobs. As far as the Relic Weapons, the same thing should have been done- new ones should have been added- not just tacking new jobs onto old ones.
