I Know SE probably gets QQ's for the pettiest of things.. But does anyone besides me feel like TAU esp. needs to be reworked entirely from the ground up. I don't remember the last time I had done an assault.. I think they all should be solo only.

Mythic weapons are so HARD to make, they don't offer a new WS and their aftermath is so generic. I love the fact that we never need to have the main weapon to use their WS but on the other note its near impossible to make the mythic to begin with. I can't recall the last time i did undersea ruins nor einherjar since 2006. For Such Generic Weapons they should probably just be made into a damn magian trial.

Besieged is like the only thing I ever seen utulized in Aht urghan and ZNM other then that its like purgatory. Getting the missions done is even a pain cause there's not great reward for finishing them at all.. some stupid crown and a ring that's only good in assault? Really can someone tell SE to make something in TAU worthwhile? Or atleast Make TAU easier so that anyone can solo thru its ridiculously tedious storyline; so that ppl who missed the TAU hype can atleast get a chance to do something in TAU?

Or better Yet just Delete TAU all together? U can add ZNM and NYZUL to Zilrat area and save game data by removing that ghost town.

You could effectively call ToAU something seperate to FFXI's main story. You're on a different continent with different way of life and politics unrelated to anything related to Vana'diel. ToAU, in fact, has A LOT to offer if SE actually decides to expand some much needed focus there. There's absolutely no reason to up and delete ToAU content.

Mythic weapons are not hard to make. They are, however, very time consuming. Some are far from being "generic" weapons. See Nirvana, Terpsichore.

And speak for yourself. I, as well as others in my LS and others on my server still do einherjar, salvage, assault, and nyzul isle. It really comes down to actually finding some like minded people to do these things with you.

Adjustments are coming to ToAU endgame, but instead of suggesting scrapping ToAU, there needs to be new reasons to venture back there, even if it's for a mini add on.

Why would you delete content that already exists?

The events that TOAU brought were once very popular, even though they have waned in popularity by now. You might as well ask what's the point of Chains of Promathia, Wings of the Goddess, or Rise of the Zilart.

The point of TOAU is to have fun basically. The same as the rest of the game.

ToAU is the 2nd best work the FFXI team has done. Abyssea by far is my favorite, but I definitely enjoyed ToAU as well. While Salvage was a bit painful, I enjoyed the ideas behind Nyzul, Assault, and Einherjar. I was kind of hoping they'd carry these ideas forward. They at least kept the points system with campaign. I'd like to see more of that in the future.

ToAU had a lot to offer gameplay wise, but the cardinal sin it implemented was to totally ostracize BLM from regular game mechanics (at the time). It also started the power creep of the DD jobs. If it had been more balanced in that regard, I could totally agree with you. Between Nyzul Isle, Eihnerjar, Salvage, and Assault, it easily offered the most variety of endgame content.

Yeah not being a BLM myself, only leeched it in Abyssea, I didn't really think of that aspect of it. Yeah they really didn't have much BLM friendly content in ToAU. It'd be nice if they would fix that in their revamp, but I have a feeling they won't do much.

Bolded for emphasis. Vana'diel is the name of the planet. You probably mean Quon and Mindartia, the continents the conquest areas and everything else sit on/around.

Also, there was plenty for a BLM to do in Aht Urhgan. It just didn't really involve exp parties at all.

Maybe its time you revist some these things you can do there. Salavage is a joke now @ 95 with emperians and wpns you smash stuff low man group even. (we use 5 ppl) Same with einherjar if u need wins its a old 75 lv event and at 95 its even easier. (60k now even, my ls does it still once a week 30 mins of smashing) Nysile Isle = 3 bsts can trio entire climb eazy and then go back swap out jobs for wpn farming @ floor 100. Assults was most fun we had 3 players we staticed with all with mutiple jobs and was very fun and allowed us use mutiple jobs in.
So the content is enjoyable you have be in a group of players who wants to do them. All it was devised @ a cap of 75 so redoing them or doing them for first time = cakewalk now. Plankeration isnt used much at if at alll and needs a overhaul. Plus they story line alone for ToA is solo duable now for all it (prob like 99%). Plus was semi enjoyable. The problem isnt with mythics ... they are eazy to do also now. It is more of wanting players to revist old content. Just got find like minded peopel who want to do them and I am sure you will get all you want out ToA.

Now if they updated that collusiem so we could use it......
Also they did say new updates where comign to nysile isle and new floors to eijinar also. I think the problem isnt ToA its we need a new city and new missions and quests for 99 capped stuff non abby stlye.

I enjoyed the ToAU story. I solo'd all but the two last BCNMs. What is frustrating to me, however, is my inability to partake in Assaults without a group of 3. I really wish that would be changed.

It was good in paper... What SE didn't take in account that not every one has at least two friends go do these things with... which says a lot about the player base.

I love ToAU, and am glad there will be a revamp.....my only complaint with the whole area is that it can be hard to get people together to do things, even with an LS that does /random parties once a week

CoP was still my favorite ending, but ToAU had some of the best cutscenes and overall story
