...so you're going to make the t2 pop easier to get, so that the already congested servers now have MORE competition for t2's in each zone...the wise choice would be to not only increase the rate of change, but to increase the number of t2's per zone from 1 to 3 or 5...this was part of the reason why people started cheating on this stuff on the 1st place (3rd pt software that would show the VNM's), because of heavy competition on pops. It wasn't as bad before the server merges, but now normal players can't farm for empyrean shield/instrument on the weekend without wasting MASSIVE amounts of time. the other morning right before the emergency maint on Odin, like 20 min prior, there were only a few hundred people logged on, and there happened to be 5/300~ people trying to pop Koios in [Altepa]...it's considerably worse during prime farm times for most ppl, e.g. the weekends, when t2's are literally popped constantly for 48-72 hours, by the 20-30 ppl trying to pop them per zone...just my thoughts on this.
It just makes more sense to increase the number of poppable nms (just like all the other EMP nms, that ALL have 3 pop ??? sets) if you're going to increase the change rate of the pop item.
Thanks for your time, I know you guys are working hard to improve the game, more good stuff has come down the pipe in the last year or so than all of the years prior (post dynamis introduction, that was pretty huge ;p )

It is true that most of the problem of completing a Empyrean Shield is based on the conversion rate of the Tier 2 VNM and what Javelin had mention is a major problem for many players. Because of the intense competition for these NM's, some people have resorted to third party programs in order to gain an advantage over others. To level the playing field for players that aren't cheating, the increase of tier 2 conversion rate as well as a increase of the number of possible pops for tier II and III would greatly decrease advantage third party programs have over normal players. (Increase to 3 pops per NM).
"So why does this have to be different than other higher tier NM's that have 3 NM's for the higher tiers but only 1 pop for the precursors?"
This should be a different aspect than the typical ??? force pops because third party programs play no effect on ??? poppables and play a large role in VNM type NM's. Also, the ??? NM's have several NM's leading to one larger one giving a lot of options to do other NM's while waiting for a group to finish one particular one. In a VW system, players are forced to follow a set linearity in the path.

The in-ability to "hop" zones will always be a limiting factor which is the advantage of other empyreans to the Ochain or Empyrean Harp. It's true that there are three pops such as the other NM's. However, with the job adjustments and the difficulty of VWNM that made PLD required in every ally, the demand for these items will still be extremely high and thus lead to excessive competition.
These proposed changes will allow anyone to work on "something" regardless of the zone they are in. "Competition leads to unnecessary confrontations" seems to be the development team's mantra these days and is a change for the good. It protects people from members of the community that are using third-party programs by stripping cheaters of the advantage that is caused by slow repop timers and overall helps the playability of the game.

Actually, there are third party programs that trade pops to the ??? as soon as it loads. Its great standing at the same ??? for an hour and a half watching some LS rotate 20 mules with claim tools through the POP nms, while they Kill the main NM with another group. Good times.

some this just add multiple pops for certain ki nms that used to pop bosses increase ki rate for some them in gold chest (the peiste nm comes to mind) (and really why are temp item gold chest so common..) Also reduce the number of ki required to pop some emph nms like glavnoid sobek so on

Make one T3 drop 74 souls.
I tested trying to get a T1->T2 and it really didn't even seem all that easier. I would go back and make sure its really working the way it should be. Killed many a T1 without upgrade.
There needs to be more T2 VNMs in heroes zones. That or the conversion rate is much higher on T2s as well as T1. So people doing shield and harp can kill T2 and move on to T3. Rather then have to sit there and compete with the endless body seal farmers that are always there.
Better yet move those body seals to another NM, or put them on T3 so people can't just sit there and reuse their pop over and over blocking people from doing shield and harp. No other body seal NM in the game lets you reuse the same pop item over and over and over. Part of the reason why doing colorless souls is so hard due to all the competition.

I think it's only on the test server as of right now, that's why they want feedback, so they can give us something useful before they implement it for reals ;p not that i don't appreciate getting a higher t1>2 change rate...as I myself have spent at least an hour for the last 4 or 5 t1 farms i've done in my solo time

o and not to mention I wish the GM's were more proactive with catching ppl in the act of 3rd pt stuff
if they would just hang out in altepa near where King vinegaroon pop's in normal altepa you'll catch 10-20 ppl a day using cure bots, really pisses me off when I have to wait on my wife to come cure me for brulo duo and these guys can cheat it solo

yeah except if you're not cheating you can't spam it on the ???, because you can't see it until it's up...allseeingeye allows you to see things always, so you can spam a macro that says /item "trigger" <t>, with no targeting involved, it used to work the same way with VNM's until SE changed how/where the VNM data was being stored. just fyi, since you apparantly did not know. cheaters pretty much always prosper in this game, and SE isn't very proactive about stopping it.

Only works for single-item pops. Not sure, but I assume 3rd party programs will allow you to trade multiple?
@ Zumi - If you were doing them on the test server with no visible results, try procing red and see if it makes it 100% upgrade now. I appreciate it's difficult due to the low HP of tier 1s, just have to use a low level weapon.
