Why is my avatar now a galka?

I never changed it, but it went from a cute mithra to a not very cute galka. Also, when I went to the control panel to change it back to my old avatar, it didn't work. My old mithra avatar is still selected there, but it doesn't seem to affect which avatar is actually in use.

Yeah, read the forum updates notes, and I would like to say that I think this is a very dumb change. Why shouldn't we be allowed to freely select our characters? What harm does it do? Seriously, please change it back.

I agree, it's a little bit silly to force it on us. I had no avatar at all and I did prefer it that way, especially as non-custom avatars are allowed. =/

Not to mention how them non-custom avatars are dragged in by them quotes now too...
Oh well. Such is life.

I put a mule as my "displayed character" exactly because I didn't feel like advertising my in game name all over the forum. But if that means I have to look like a galka, I guess I'll just have to delete one of my mules and recreate it as the avatar I want.

Also, I'm not really intoxicated even if my avatar might seem to be.
But I digress, that's not what I was going to say. I was going to ask, if you actually are seeing a galga for yourself right now? Because it's showing the white-haired mithra to me, as seen below.
