View Full Version : Help! Problem that has been bothering me for years now.

The mule-account that took my name away from me during the server merge has not been online for almost two years. While i, having played the same character for more than 8 years under the same name, am constantly reminded upon every login that i'm simply not... me... right now.

Still, it will not let me create a new character under the name that i desire, or lets me rename my character to the name i have always had. It's unavailable to me.

If it would be an available name, i'm sure i could find a way to rename my character, so that's not the issue. The issue is that it's simply still in use, but has been on a deactivated account for ages now.

So my real question is, A: Can you help me with this in any way?
And B: How long does a character have to be inactive before you either purge it or will free up the name for use by others.

Which brings me to C: Seeing as i already had trouble renaming my character the last time i had to, is there any way you (SE) could free up all the actual names of characters that have been inactive for more than a year and/or are banned? There's really no point to having people be stuck with 10~12 character long gibberish names for the only other reason that all the 4 to 6 character names are currently in use already. The name generator is rubbish at this point, giving you nothing but little gems that can only be seen as RMT-like names.

I'd appreciate if some preference could be given to people who's character has been non-stop playing for 8~9 years over people who created a character/mule for a few months and then quit, for as far as names would go.

Thank you in advance, and i hope you will consider at least some names to be freed up soon,
