Please consider making these TP moves count as kills for Magian trials. There is nothing more annoying than having so much effort erased by a self-destruct TP move, especially when you're in no position to stop it (Final Sting can't be stunned).

The logic behind it is that you didn't killed the mob even if you get the xp while the trial says that you have to kill the mob.

That's not even logical its stupid and annoying. Logic says Don't make Bee's apart of the Magian if they can waste your time by suicide.

Hmm... the logic dictates - kill them before they kill you or themself.

Assisted suicide. The monster wouldn't have killed itself if you weren't there. If you didn't go the mob wouldn't be dead. Since you went and whacked it a few times, the mob is now dead. Logic says you had part in the monster's death no?

No since it's a suicide at least - the mob got bored of you and decided it's best to despawn or suicide.
His/Her decision - suicide cause you'r the one who wasted it's time and the mob is laughing at his/her afterlife about you. =^.^=

Don't you get XP when the mob dies this way? If so, then you should get Magian credit as well.

You didn't killed it - so no magian point
I don't think the OP is disputing a suiciding monster is something he killed with his weapons, but when monsters use those abilities and rob you of kills is out of your control. It is more a question of function than logic.

Who said that a trial has to be easy?
What about the people who do trials that require a certain weather or day - those have to deal with the instability of weather or the time that's running. How often do they complain that the mob they started fighting doesn't count cause the condition for the trial doesn't match at the time the mob was killed?

If the kill doesn't count when a mob kills itself, then I guess it shouldn't count when a party member or pet/NPC kills it as well.

The point is who killed it - the mob itself or an external source.
Easy answer - a party member or pet is an external source like the player - so trial +1
Selfdestruct is caused by the mob itself so trial +0

Ihnako, your points are almost valid, but in the same respect we shouldn't accumulate any experience points from the monster either. Yet we do.

That's a known bug that SE won't fix since nobody complains about it.
On the other hand you gain experience for surviving a fatal blow but you still didn't killed the mob. ;p
