Mine is Pso'Xja. I love everything about it. I love the fake treasure chests, the one-way doorways, the elevators, the traps. Everything about it makes it feel like a real, true, RPG style dungeon. Also, the blue color scheme makes it look awesome, and the music is pretty groovy too.
What about the rest of you? Who has a favorite zone, and why?

Mog House all the way! kinda wish it had more rooms though, Also would be nice if you could place your moogle someplace else, Other then being locked in the middle. Moogles takes up more space then the Auction House.
Reason why I like the Mog House: You can change it to your liking! Just can't change the music yet...

Sea. I love the scenery, the music, the enemies, the Jesus water, the sky, the buildings, and the trees. I also like it because it is home to one of my favorite events, Limbus.

Oh yeah. Al'Taieu. I forgot about that. Yeah it's pretty, and has groovy music, and it always brings me back to the summer of 2006 when I worked so hard with my linkshell to get through the CoP missions (when they were still capped), and how amazing it was when I got ther.

South Gustaberg, purely for nostalgic reasons.

Riverne #A01/B01.
Great scenary, used to be a source of unique mobs to the zone. Some areas you traverse are just plain' outdoors with trees about....except you're up in the sky and can clearly see other floating land masses nearby. Has a great sunrise/sundown also.

My favorite zone would have to be Uleg Range (not abyssea). Scaling the heights, fighting off True Sight mobs, sliding down the steepest slope in the game... a sense of adventure, kind of fun in small doses. The Bearclaw Pinnacle also looks amazing when the storms clear, however rare that may be.
My favorite AREA however, is Witchfire Glen at night; again not the Abyssea version. It reminds me of an old friend.

Gustaberg. Everytime i reminisce that's ALWAYS the first bloody place i head back to, maybe because that was the first bloody place i DID go. I still whistle the music every now and then.....
Sea is right up there for sheer coolness of the zone, i still remember when me and my friends first set foot in there while tearing through CoP....good times.

I am very fond of Carpenter's Landing. If you catch it at the right time of day, some of the views over the river are beautiful (and the trip on the barge is even more delightful). Even the insect-ridden tunnels have a charm to them, far more interestingly decorated than the generic tunnels of places like Ranguemont. It also has a very secluded charm to it; it's certainly a forgotten corner of Vana'diel and it feels very peaceful, easy-going and even old-fashioned.
To be honest I think most zones have at least something that appeals in its own way. Zi'Tah, Sarutabaruta, Ronfaure, Elshimo, Ru'Aun Gardens, Lufaise Meadows, Movalpolos... they've all got nice or interesting scenery, or a good music track, or have specific quirks that make them exciting or unusual. The only zones I'm specifically not fond of are the scrub or desert areas like Attohwa Chasm, Meriphataud Mountains and the like.

I really like Arrapago Reef. Moreso now that the Lamias and Flayers aren't so scary! The music is awesome, and pirate ships are cool... but idk there's something else about it. It's supposed to be all haunted and such but I find it really relaxing >.>

Saruta is definitely a major place of nostalgia for me. That's where I started my first job (BLM) in 2004. I used to relive my early adventures by traveling by foot from there to Mhaura, and taking the ferry to Selbina like I did as a young noble nooblet.
Currently one of my favorite places to be is Tavnazian Safehold. It's quiet there, but I can still check the auction and stuff. It's just nice to get away from the congestion and all the pointless shouts. Furthermore, it's directly attached to Al'Taieu and other CoP areas to wander freely about out of boredom. Sea never gets old.
Oh, also the manaclipper ride to Ilse Porgonorgo! And then strolling around the island in the sand and the crystal clear blue water! It's a nice feeling :)
I leveled BLU recently partially so I could re-explore all these different areas that have been forgotten. If you want general FFXI nostalgia, you should try the same! Learning blue magic is an excellent way to get around.
