would it be too much to ask the devs if they can add any random +2 items to shinryus drop list, noone ever goes in to procs yellow because it doesnt really have anything of use, i think if it dropped a few +2 items of ANY kind for procing yellow would give me reason to go back to fighting it as i already have every weapon/gear from him so far

Pointless. If you have the gear from shinryu, what's the point in paying 10k cruor entrance for a chance at a completely random +2, which you could already be capped on? Why don't you just go to a normal abyssea zone and farm the normal NM, where at least you know he'll drop the right materials and not completely useless ones for you.

Yes, +2 items you can't choose and fall randomly are crap drops. The same as logs, ores, Abyssea spells, skins, and thread.

So you proc yellow, you have a CHANCE at getting two +2 items...theres a pool of 20. The likelyhood you get the one you're after is pretty low. Atleast you can npc that petrified log for 2k, all you can do with that stone of balance is drop it.

Add in a "universal" +2 item that you can trade to, say, Joachim for the +2 item of your choice. Have Shinryu drop those. Problem with "useless" drops solved.

They should have had +2s in the loot pool and not had ANY of the junk drops he has. Wouldn't make it a viable way of upgrading, but I'll take random stones, jewels, etc over apkallu eggs and wood.

Replacing the useless npc items with +2 upgrades, Heavy Metal Plates, and D. Die will peak My intrest. Especially, if they give a 505/50 Chance of one or two of them falling per run; in addition to increasing the rate of Twilight Gear. If this is put into to effecf thay may have to reduce the 200k Primeval Brew (for Shinryu BC only) to 100k. This way Gamers can spam this event without breaking thier cruor account.

Instead of having him drop random +2 items, it could be an item that is traded in for a +2 item of your choice. Trading one of the items could be used to select a +2 upgrade item for Head, Hands, Legs or Feet; and trading two of the items could be used to select a +2 upgrade item for Body.

Theres nothing wrong with adding +2, but honestly Shin is just for the twilight drops and in my opinion this should be enough reward for fighting him. You get a kick-butt atma from him, completetion of abyssea storyline which provides 200k brews, and if you go after you've acquired the gear and atma then it's just to help others and costs 10k cruor to do so. Perhaps it's just too easy as it stands now and +2 shouldn't rain from the sky any more than it already does.

Which is why you're always seeing Shin shout groups always looking for them...., it's a catch-22 situation.

Easier to rely on one mnk who knows how to trigger on Shin than to bring 3-4 people to cover Slashing/Piercing triggers, and knowing the playerbase, they only go for the easiest option that guarantees success.

I second this, I couldn't see spamming shinryu for the drops, but it would be a nice bonus to get a upgrade item or 2 from the fight.
