How do you actually get a decent amount of resitance creds in bastion, when no one else is interested in doing it with you?
Please tell me, cause I have no fucking idea. There is no way a single player's once-per-day quest can increase the HP of a martello enough for it to matter, and it seems futile to even try to keep the mobs away from the martello, because the NPCs will pull them towards it anyway and then it dies in about the same time it takes for me to take my greataxe off my back.
tl;dr
I want lots of resistance creds alone or with just one friend. Anyone got some good ideas on how to do this?

multiboxing wont work, go on a heavy melee job...thats all I can say.

Go on BLU or BLM if you have the job.
Buy a fanatic's drink from the bastion guy, if you dont have one already (worth it)
When the enemies are almost upon you, pop the fanatics.
Spam AOE spells.
I usually get 1000-2000+ points per run via this method, and was able to get 20/20 pants in no time.

Don't have a multibox, I was talking about a real actual friend. I also don't have blu or blm, but I do have war. I tried a fanatics tonic/powder and FCing the whole bunch, but even then, the martello is usually destroyed by the time I'm readying my second FC, and if i'm lucky i get like 200 creds from that.
I tried /whm to open with diaga to get all the mobs to focus on me instead of going directly to the NPCs and martellos. This saves me a little bit of time before the martello is destroyed, but it's still destroyed pretty fast. Oh and of course, the targeting issues sometimes lead to an out of range WS, making me lose all the TP. It's just really frustrating :(.

you only get credits for mobs that die...sometimes you just have to get lucky and hope its only gears and detectors that come instead of salvage bosses. its always the stupid qiqirn blm's that aoe the mobs, pulling them on top of the martello.

I don't know about 'decent amount' but back when it was all new, when I was doing it alone (mostly for EXP and some fun), I would do it as a little Samurai, mainly just focusing on getting at least one tiny floaty thingy down which I would usually do with the help of Sekkanoki, so basically what you have been doing with your Warrior.
That, and I would do the Operations to get the wards up. That helps a lot and sometimes makes the fight actually last a while but of course, just one character can only do so much so its help can be quite minimal, but worth it usually. Sometimes even got some seals (had done a lot of it before they even implemented those to the OPs, or increased the rates anyways) though nowadays those are probably more or less irrelevant to most players due to being able to get them more easy via other methods.
But yeah, I don't think there's much more we can do except what has been said. Anything that can distract them from the NPCs that refuse to leave the Martello safe, or anything that can kill something fast enough.
I still don't understand why nothing has been done to this as I have mentioned in other related theards. It could have been a lot more entertaining and useful while it has been left very broken and unfinished.

Best bet is doing bastian at Attowah.
Go SMN and use Titan. Spam Earthan ward every time you get the chance. This has helped me significantly when I solo'd and the npcs have little to no defensive.
Doing resistant ops help improve them, but seeing how you can only do it once per game day, rather ineffective without a others doing the same.

Well, leveling a job for the sole purpose of doing bastion is kind of out of the question :p.
Regardless, I was lucky enough, after sitting around in there for a long time, to find a couple of others who also needed a few resistance creds. With 3-4 people it goes a lot better, especially considering you're now 4 persons boosting the HP of the clone wards and martello instead of just you.
So I got what I wanted, now I just hope they maybe make some adjustments to deal with how bastion works when almost no one does it before the next time I need some empy legs items :p.

One thing that also makes having a group better is that it makes the ops where you guide a chocobo easier to do with a heavy load, further increasing the benefit that each of you can do, not sure how many people you would need to take the health of the wards and the strength of the fighters to 100% each.

i used to go heavy DD with rng/sam. pop a fanatics and sekki > WS > WS > Barrage > WS > EES. usually solo'd 2 of the easy mobs that way, like the spectators, or a single big mob like the chariots
