View Full Version : Dreamland Dynamis Questions

I've been dual-boxing inside Xarc for the last little while, quietly snagging relic armor and currency (depending on how much i can round up i may sloooowly work on a weapon). Being a packrat i wouldnt mind shooting for some of the relic items that drop in other zones. I tried a Jeuno and was a bit of a pain with only 2, and i imagine the other cities are just as rough. I'm thinking the dreamland zones might be a bit more lowman friendly.
Looking around i can't seem to find info on the dreamland zones since dynamis got an overhaul. Do they have TE mobs, and are proc's affected by them? Anyone know the positions? Did they even change anything? I've only been in Qufim/Val once, and i was pretty lost (ls lead me around like a little puppy)
Any info would be great, or if anyone's on Siren and wouldn't mind showing me the ropes i'd really appreciate it.

Yes there got TE in there now, and there are easy to find.
Check out my site for dynamis Buburimu map http://www.crawlerbasher.net/ffxi/Dynamis-Buburimu.php
And this wiki page for the screen shots of the TE http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Talk:Dynamis_-_Buburimu
Basicly as far as TE goes all the easy pray Beastmen will have a statue like in normal dynamis witch cons as impossible to gauge and will drop TE10.
And the TE20 is located in one of the 4 beastmen section that con as DC+
If you got widescan it will not be a problem to spot and Qufim is easier as 4 of the 5 are in a small section.
To fight the nm in Dreamland from what I've seen in qufim you need to kill the nm to get a drop, this item is used to weaken the zone boss, the nightmare will drop the pop item for the zone boss.
As for farming, I found that its easier than jeuno and bastok, if you looking for AFv2 from that zone.
Since all different types of beastmen are in one zone, you can pick the easier ones to fight.

I've pretty much finished updating the Dynamis section (http://wiki.bluegartr.com/bg/Category:Dynamis)for CoP changes on bgwiki.
If you're looking for currency farming strategies, there's quite a bit of discussion about different techniques in this thread (http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/104506-Neo-Dynamis-Changes/page82). CoP Dynamis and Nightmare monsters are generally agreed to be superior to old zones.

Nice!
Thanks for all the info to start digging through :) Those TE maps are exactly what i was after!
I've relied on ffxiclopedia alot in the past, and searching around brought me nothing. My searching skills must be lacking. I never really checked out BG, and until recently hearing people knocking "BG" on this forum made me scratch my head. Guess i have another source of info now ^^
Really, the main goal was to finish off some relic sets and keep me busy when friends aren't online, but i've always drooled over a kikoku....i'm sure it's a pipedream but at the very least i'll have a boatload of currency to flip if i do give up.

If you are good at dualboxing and don't wipe, you should be able to pull in 200 currency per run in CoP zones without a ton of trouble and just using JA procs. Honestly, Dynamis is the event I have the most fun doing at the moment.
By the way, as a word of warning. Generally people knock BG because they've posted there once or twice and gotten themselves tarred and feathered by the locals, either because they were asking for it or made a new thread for a simple question. Just use the "Random Question Thread" if you have a random question in general, or "What's Better?" thread if you have a question about whether X gear is better than Y gear. If you do that and write somewhat coherently, you'll get along fine there.

The other people knock BG because it is still incredibly difficult to navigate, and the search function does little since most threads go off-topic and mention irrelevant things that might flag on any searches, providing hundreds of different threads to still read entirely just to filter between them. On top of that, its a major epeen fest there, and a good majority of people go to do nothing more than brag about how superior they are instead of actually helping people. They also rip on people for no reason sometimes or for simple ignorance.
That being said, its a good source of advanced knowledge I used to use 'back in the day'. Just keep both warnings in the back of your mind.

Name one website that isn't like this.

Objection. The only place people go to do that is the Gimp thread, or Random fail, Both of which have died down a lot lately. Advanced Section is actually way more tame and helpful than old-school BG.
90% of the BG users in Advanced post new information, and its not hard to find. Its a lot different than it used to be, Most of the jackasses are banned, and a lot of drama is gone.
They also rip on people for no reason sometimes or for simple ignorance.
Theres always a reason. And if its a dumb reason, They will get suspended/temp-banned. the mods don't slouch there, or play favorites. If you do something dumb or break the rules you do get banned.

That is good to hear Karbuncle. I will admit it has been years since I've really been through the BG forums much, and as I said I used to go quite often as it was a great source of information. When my tastes of elitism died down though, I couldn't help but get a bitter taste in my mouth every time I went. I would say last real time was around 2008.

lol, I still use google with "site:www.bluegartr.com" instead of trying to navigate their search engine. It's atrocious.
