Ingots to Ores

Weve been seeing a lot of various ingots added to gold chests in aby. It has thrown their respective market for a bit of a loop. An over supply of ingots on the AH and dropped prices naturaly (Hell, platinum ingots been down to 2k a peice) while mets to make the various ingots remain the same (much higher).

That could be quite an issue to anyone whos thinking about leveling up certin crafts. I would rather see the ingots being droped in chests changed over to ores. That way the ability to have more supply of ingots is still their while not altering the ore/ingot ratio price so drasticly.

I would rather see the ingots being droped in chests changed over to ores.Combine this with changing all ore drops in WoE to ingot drops and I think that covers things nicely.

As an example; was checking prices on a few today.

Mythril ingot: 1k
Mythril Ore: 1k x4 = 4k

Gold Ingot: 10k
Gold Ore: 3k x4 = 12k

Platinum Ingot: 3k
Platinume Ore: 3k x4 = 12k

Now this aint the best example. This is actuly the closest theyve been in some time. They are usaly all like the Platinume listed their. And supply of ingot is always drasticly higher then mets. To anyone that wants to start up crafting this is a major demoralizer. Thats why id rather see various Ore drops rather then ingots.

Just throwing my 'yes' on here. Nothing was really achieved by making ingots drop in WoE other than not making crafters necessary.

If you wanted low ingot prices, you'd still get them if you bombarded the world with ore.

Of course most people can just use cheap ingots to skill up too but that way they'd have both.

Of course most people can just use cheap ingots to skill up too but that way they'd have both.Eh, ingots don't normally drop in WoE. Mostly ores. (And logs. Dear god, so many logs. It's like yet another unintentional poop joke.)

I was just asking for them to swap that around if they changed it from ingots to ores in gold chests in Abyssea. It still reduces the amount of ingots being produced by non-crafting means (there being about 10x as many people doing Abyssea as WoE), but should help keep ingots from jumping to ~10x the cost of ore again.

I just want them to add gold ingots to abyssea chests... I want to level goldsmithing from 54 to 60, but gold ingots have actually increased in price since abyssea got introduced. Market seems to fluctuate more though, singles and stacks prices are wildly different at times. (Today ingots are 5k/100k on bismarck, but I've also seen 15k/200k.)

gold ingot even a few months ago were 20k+ for a single. They used to be a little bit higher. Now their down to 10-k because gold ingots do drop from aby chests in heros zones.

That would match up with the last time I was looking at skilling up gold, yes. Didn't look again until I saw this thread. Some sales are going as low as 1k, so I guess I just hold out until just before the next abyssea-killer update :)
