A lot of people are sitting on capped XP and capped merits. I would like to see expanded uses for merit points. Maybe able to buy miratettes memoirs or something. Make it cost prohibitive so people dont abuse it, but give us something to do with the merits we have sitting around.

Some people don't have all 20 jobs leveled. SE also made merits used in breaking the new level cap. People are already suggesting new merit categories once level cap hits 99. Until then, I think the lot of us don't mind them sitting around at the moment.

Abyssea and Voidwatch throw exp at people while they kill NMs on jobs that are already capped. I would estimate my wasted exp because of capped merits to be somewhere around 10 million. The only thing I use my merits for is to cap different combat skills depending on what job I'm playing that day.

Make a way to turn merits in to exp pages for your lower level jobs much like eco-war and garrison did back in the day (good memories!^^)
