View Full Version : Summoner Bloodpact:Ward Timer Consumption

Frequency: Everytime conditions are met
Character Name: Pentikiki
Race: Taru
World: Leviathan
Main Job: Summoner
Support Job: Scholar
Area and Coordinates: Any
Party or Solo: Any
NPC Name: Any
Monster Name: Any
Steps:
1. Fight a monster (any monster) nearly to death
2. Activate a Bloodpact:Ward on a party member while any avatar is engaged to the monster.
3. Kill the monster before the Bloodpact:Ward activation completes
4. Bloodpact:Ward fails to activate, avatar shows "angry" (Bloodpact Activation animation)
5. Bloodpact:Ward cooldown timer counts down as though the move completed. (Timer is "wasted")

The same behaviour can be noted with Lightspirit, though it's much harder to capture as you have no control over Lightspirit.

This applies to all pet jobs also.

Just a quirk that been's in there since their inception. No idea why it wasn't addressed when they fixed SMN BPs not consuming timer/MP when a monster is out of range when you hit the command.
