I have a friend interested in signing up and is curious about a trial version. I remember back around 2007 there was a trial version but the page says it's not available at this time. Is he out of luck or are we looking in the wrong place?

I THINK that when you download the Ultimate Edition (if that is your plan) when you enter all your information to start an account to automatically includes a 30 free trial. Now that's not a "trial version" per se because you still have to purchase the game. Only thing I know of but maybe somebody else can shed more light on this.
