I think it'd be awesome if characters could be set to auto-accept deliveries from the same account so that people wouldn't have to switch characters to accept. This would really speed up clearing out inventory, which is quite tedious. Please improve the game in this way.

I'll bee the first who'll abuse the system cause I'll send out enough trash so you couldn't get anything delivered. (Just to give an imagination of how to abuse such a solution while it's still interesting.)

With what he's proposing, you wouldn't be able to do that as the auto-accept is between characters of the same account, not all characters ever.

I think it'd be awesome if they would ritualistically burn the hard disk containing the current dbox system and pay someone from Blizzard to code FFXI a mailbox setup.

Well what's the Blizzard system?

So you could send more then 8 items to a mule... chances are, the mule doesn't even have enough spare room in inventory, and even if it does, it could create situations where you mule gets inventory locked (all containers filled, so no moving or stacking of stuff possible). And eventually you'd have to log into said mule to clear the log jam anyway.

The amount of times you're shifting >8 items between chars is very very limited anyway, so there's really little use for it.
Not to mention the technical difficulties of having two characters on the same account loaded to handle the auto-accept.

I think a better idea would be to add an account storage, 80 slots where any dbox-mule-sendable item could be placed. All characters on the account would have access to it from the moghouse.

Another option would be to add retainers, similar to those from FFXIV. Non-playable mules whose moghouses you can enter on your playable characters, each with 80x5 storage (or something of that kind).
