View Full Version : Disapointed in adventuring fellow

How do I say this? The cap increase for the adventuring fellow is the worst ever. The fact that its worse than our character's level cap increase post 75 is astonishing in its own right (at least with the 95 cap SE half-baked something). These dreadfully inadequate cap increase quests are completely unacceptable. Garbage. Complete failure. Easy button and worse no original thought whatsoever. Did you guys dream it up while at lunch one day, or during a 5 minute smoke break? Because that’s what it feels like, and worse that’s what it looks like. 20 weapon skills on vermin type mobs, lol. Seriously? Why ruin what you already had? Its like taking a bmw and that’s fully tricked out (the previous cap increases and story before 75) and putting those fake $20 plastic spinner rims on your $60k ride. Why would you do that?

Its obvious you don’t care anymore, but do us a favor and don't ruin what you had. I rather you not release the 95 cap if the last increase is more of the same junk that’s been presented lately. You went from a fine and rich story with challenging quests to magian trial junk. If your going to use the magian trial at least redeem yourselves with the last character cap and fellow cap, please. I'll make it easy for you, you can continue to be cheap and short on story, just make the quest itself a little challenging and interesting. I rather an interestingly short story with a respectable cap quest for the grand finale than a longer retarded magian trial style that shows you put no thought into it.

We are talking about an epic cap here, 95 for fellow and 99 for ourselves. Look at the maat quest for 71-75 and the confrontation between you and you fellow for 66-70. That my friend should be you goal, to reproduce the feelings from those two quests. A sense of accomplishment, a delight in the story, not this 20 weapon skill bull. I know you want it to be easier, but wow at this rate its just a freaking formality which insults us, because it sure doesn’t feel like a cap increase. Just do away with the quest altogether if its going to be more of this lame junk your serving.

Now about the AI on the fellow. If you could consider the ability for the fellow to cast refresh on itself while set to soothing healer that would fit its description a bit more I would think at 95 and its sub job as rdm. I mean, is it a whm/rdm right, or what’s going on here cause it sure does waste mp on enfeebles a lot while running out of mp before it can cure itself. It seems to try and enfeeble more than cure or erase status effects on me. Perhaps change its name to soothing enfeebler, lol.

(Besides a few things I do support most of what SE has done, this is just not one of them. That's why I have faith that if proper attention and responses are made here, it can be corrected and save us from another dreadful cap increase).

If you are feeling like SE is shortchanging us in the cap increase department, please post a comment or a like to this post. Thank you, and please try to not flame this thread I really want to stay on focus here and get the dev to do something about this woefully abysmal performance in reguards to cap increases and the trash that they are serving. Thank you.

I agree with the cap increases being rather lackluster after the 1 on 1 fight we went through.

Regarding the AI on soothing healer, would it be possible to set a priority on spells? Been adventuring with her in Labyrith of O. lately, and AI makes no sense to me at all. If I get silenced/blinded/paralyzed at the last time, paralyze is the last thing to be removed. Being on thf/dnc, removing silence is just a waste of mp. I'm spamming healing waltz and it keeps getting paralyzed. So instead of removing this status, she waits until I get hit a few times, then drops a cure3 while I still have 1000hp left. Maybe something like the way you can stop them from using AoE WS can be applied to certain spells that are cast.

I just wish she'd stop wasting MP trying to enfeeble everything...

I've been doing a lot of pages at the top of The Boyahda Tree with my "soothing Healer" npc, and I agree, way too much enfeebling spells, then out of mp. But, I did notice if I get regen from the book, it seems to be "shared" with my npc. She took 175 on dmg, I did Curing Waltz II(normally 172 recover), but it only took 95 and she was full hp again. Does this mean that regen/refresh from the book would help the mp issue? It already seems that regen does work to a degree. I noticed thia a number of times so it wasn't a one-time deal, but I haven't tried refresh yet. Btw, my npc is lvl 78.
