Ok I know I'm probably the only one that thinks this, but why doesn't Throwing have a weaponskill? It is currently (and I know it had a use in sky, but no one does sky anymore and when they do they don't USE the throwing dispel items) the most useless thing to level in the game:(. Items like the Jinx discuss do not proc enough to really warrent hitting anything on a regular basis. The only reason to have a throwing weapon at all (not including things in the 'ammo' slot the help the player in general) but such things as boomerangs and so on and so forth in a party situation is to pull without taking the gil to use arrows or bolts or other gil needy items. Which you need no skill to pull because it doesn't matter if you hit the thing or not to gain hate. So what is the point of throwing even being able to be skilled up, be an offensive capable skill, and NOT have a weaponskill? It is the only offensive capable weapon in the game with not weaponskill. It could be made rng only like most ranged weaponskills, or even thf rng nin? dnc? I asked around about it and several people told me that if throwing got a ws even one at level 90 that took 350+ skill to get, they would level throwing in a heartbeat. Just some food for thought.

Having throwing high enough to hit the mob means it's less likely to attack someone else otw back, ie. a resting mage.
Throwing skill had its real uses, sky guards and Dark ixion. If they did add a throwing WS it would be garbage anyway and nobody would use it over their primary WS.

When you hit a mob pulling there is no garuntee it is going to stop the mob from hitting a mage. (I have done a LOT of pulling both in and out of abyssea, with all of my jobs ((thf pld sch brd drg dnc, the one exception being whm thus far)) If a mage is getting hit in the party because of resting it is not going to matter one way or the other if you did dmg to the mob or not on a pull, it will be because someone is slow or not doing their job or as I've seen several times myself, resting in a stupid place such as between the mobs and the puller. There SHOULD be a provoke, hit or sleep, waiting for the puller promptly as they come back, so they can pull more mobs and the pt can get more exp. Also, a throwing weaponskill does not defaultly suck. Like any ranged ws... (sidewinder slugshot etc) it would depend on the PLAYER and the Weapon you are attempting it with. Saying it would defaultly suck is like saying the aforementioned ws suck and that all rng's should use is axe/dagger w/e ws instead of their most used ones. I personally, being lvl 90 of the aforementioned jobs would LOVE to have a ranged weaponskill as thf because of the nature of many mobs having spikes of some kind. Many now doing 100-200 dmg a hit. If i could pull even a 200 dmg ws off without hitting the mob with my daggers i would be happy because i would not be killing myself possibly triple attacking just to get a weaponskill of without having to sacrifice my shadows from /nin or my cures from /dnc to use my marksmanship ws from /rng which does nothing for thf. /rng has it's usefulness as a ws' giver to other jobs that have ranged skills that they do not normally get, but it would be silly and very very uneficient to have to run and change jobs to be useful everytime the mob put up some nasty spikes.

WS for throwing would be interesting, but im sure if anyone would use it.. maybe for exp partying when someone pulls like you were discussing. but for actual DMG WS's, i believe each job made with their current WS's will use thos over throwing WS's. would be a fun idea tho i cant lie bout that lol randomly fightin a insane high level NM an everyone is goin all out, then u see a throwing WS hit it out of nowhere i'd "lmao" literally xD would be entertaining to have :)
