2nd i have 2 accounts always have had even have them on the new pay system as 1 but although i can send my mules stuff i cant send stuff between the 2.

This was complained about before the beret was actually released.

Who cares? It's not really that useful.
I mean, sure, it's awesome for levels 1-30, but who cares if you're awesome or not at those levels? It barely has any effect at all on exp gain per hour when you're tome burning. And how many reraises do you need anyway? I don't know about you others, but I can't remember the last time I died to a EP-DC in a party.

I was one of those people who thought it was unfair since had already bought the abyssea expansions before this was released. Now if I wanted the ingame item, I would have to use real money to get it with no added bonus, which is stupid. Buying expansions for a game is one thing, but already having them and BUYING the beret, an ingame item, makes no sense.
What's even more stupid is the people in low level parties who say "No Dberet? FAIL!"
If anything, the people who got the expansions BEFORE the collection was released should have been rewarded for "loyalty".
Still, the item isn't a huge game changer and better off ignored if you already have the expansions.

Now to really complain on getting jiped and crap >.>
I'm pretty annoyed with the new mobs added in for the new books in certain zones. It's making new players who have never played before ask the experienced 90s for help on very low level missions and most 90s are so annoyed with it they are taking the poor players for everything they got and costing the new players to feel like they should just out right quit the game. >.> Now I am ranting but I have helped my fair share of new ls mates and new players in general and seen a fair share of experienced players ditching those new players in areas that totally screw them over. I suggest this gets resolved because on the server I play on you might start loosing potential customers. Just saying because theres very few 90s who are going to stand up to the plate and help anymore. -->END OF RANT
As for us devoted who bought the expansions individually and got jipped on no devoted consumer gifts well crap happens and s.e. knows that they got their money from us. Best to just let it go and move on. Though that cap would of been cool to be a lotto gift or something.

Im the kind person that thinks every 1 should have a way to get all items as i like to have everything in game, whats the point in trying to 100% a game if u cant get an item that means ill only ever 99% complete

Or you could see it as someone 101%ing the game by buying a new one each time a new special item is offered.

I didn't think that, because this is the first time you mentioned it. What I now do think, however, is that you might have some sort of obsessive-compulsory disorder.

In single player off-line games I'm a completionist. I like to have everything! I'm not even sure what that means in a MMORPG though. You own at least one of everything on the AH? Or maybe just one of each piece of armor/weapon? Even I wouldn't try that!

At least they let you log on both POL accounts at the same time, even though they're on the same SE ID!

I really dont understand the big deal everyone has. Its not like its some game breaking item. Its just an incentive to get new players on the game when the company is struggling. Would you really have waited 1-2 years (its too early in the morning for me to count =.= ) to buy all the expansions just so you can get a free hat?
Of all the useless/inventory-1 items to complain about not obtaining, I would prefer this one.

The beret isn't that great. I haven't even picked it up from the moogle. I just don't really care enough for it. I'd rather just play using the tome's bonuses. And please don't say you're trying to "100%" a game. This is an MMO, there's not exactly a 100% unless you get the alpha gear for each and every class, including Relic/Mythic/Empyrean + Magian trial weapons for each element.
Be reasonable.
...Edit; Forgot to add: This isn't TF2. Stop complaining about not having hats. For real. I get that enough as is on TF2 servers.

I, for one, would like to see this and other seasonal/event gear be craftable, so people who miss out can have the opportunity to obtain it instead of waiting several months or a year when it comes back around.

Well they could always make it an adventurer recruitment reward like they do with the event gear. It doesn't really bother me that much. I missed out on stuff like Raising Earring when they became available, and I don't lose sleep over it.
Your "reward" for buying the expansions when they came out was, well, getting to use them first. It's not like you couldn't have possibly known they were going to be compiled at a cheaper rate later; it's happened numerous times before. Would you have really not bought them and waited for the Abyssea Collection if you knew a silly hat was going to be available? Of course not.

I just bought the abyssea edition because I didn't feel like paying 30 bucks for abyssea expansions.
So I waited. And came back whenever it was announced. Hooray!
