Is Mithra the best race for DNC stat wise?

Mithra has meh VIT and crap CHR, which both affect the job.

I would say that no race has "the best" stats for Dancer, but every race can play a decent Dancer, depending on what you do and are geared for.

VIT and CHR affect the job in the same way that DEX affects a BLM's melee accuracy - there's no denying the technical truth of the matter, but it's so meh that you can easily not care. 1 CHR = 1.25 more HP on Curing Waltz V, less on all others (this is why I seriously shake my head at people with a CHR set) and VIT does the same but only for the target of the waltz itself.

Meanwhile, mithra run away with DEX for accuarcy (B+ in a singe-handed weapon? Gunna take more than acc bonus traits to cap that out) and crits as well as AGI for dodging and less crits. Pretty much the core DNC stats. Based on that alone, I'd have to say that mithra win the stat game. They also look the best while doing it, but they look the best at pretty muche very job so that's hardly fair. :D

I'd argue Galkas and Humes are better suited to Dancer, with Galkas probably being the best at it.

VIT isn't really that big of an issue unless you're soloing and even than the increased Agi = Evasion + NIN as a subjob for Utsusemi to dodge attacks.

Healing is still great as well, but once again that small difference with healing would only be really noticed with soloing and barely at that.

Since the 80 cap, Galka has been the best race in the game for pretty much every job except maybe BLM (thanks to mana wall).

I'd have to agree Galka would probably be the best. I don't have acc issues either and I'm not mithra. I think Dancer's weakness when it comes to stats is attack so Galka or Elvaan would be my preference if I could start again.

People always go OMG ELVAAN ACC ISSUES, I wonder if they realize the difference stat-wise between an EV and MR DNC90/NIN45 was only 5.5 accuracy.

If people were going to make an argument for Mithra, they'd have to base it on dDEX and crit rate outweighing the extra 2 base damage that Elvaan (or Galkas) get on their weapons.

Crits are important for 1H jobs because they typically have lower pDIF than 2H jobs.
fSTR is really important for 1H jobs because their weapons have lower base damage than 2H jobs.

That's not it. HP and MP were the only stats that ever mattered with regard to race choice, and MP is now irrelevant (or at least much less relevant) because of tons of gear refresh and powerful MP efficiency options via subjobs.

A Galka dancer isn't better than a Taru dancer because he's got more STR; it's because he's got like 50% more health.
