Edit: I refrain from describing in more detail in-case some ppl arnt familiar with his storyline.

Well since I have no clue what the hell you're talking about, I can only speculate.
Still if it's something sadistic, my money is on Tanaka. He has a knack for torturing people for no particular reason.

How is it sadist?
Unless you mean trying to find him without widescan. That can be a little annoying.

I think they mean putting a storyline where a kid loses their parents in Abyssea.
It's somewhat messed up, but the idea of Abyssea is that it brought a certain sense of despair. :v

Quite easy to build fame in Scars areas. Just do Bastion OP once a game day (or however much you choose, even once an Earth day if you really don't have the time) XD

Abyssea was basically battle content, so they really paid very little attention to detail when it came to story. It's why I made my topic about expanding on the story since they could have done so much more in terms of detail. I guess that would have given away a plot point.

its the same guy who put salvage drops @ 1% , and made cop ... sage...s..... cant say it or the next update will make the level 99 cap quest require a drop off AV. this drop will have a 6 % drop rate and only from the 6th AV that spawns. and on the 6th day after this update the severs will shutdown.

How is this sadistic? The more appropriate word is 'sad' and XI quests have plenty of that.
Have none of you been to Gusgen Mines? Dead kids everywhere and often without hands or feet floating around the hallways and generally being pretty creepy.
I always wanted to ask SE why the heck parents were taking their children into a dangerous mineshaft to begin with but I digress.

Who cares, honestly? I think S-E figured the audience was mature enough to accept that children die in real life, so chances are, some will have unfortunate ends in a fantasy world, also. They aren't having you run around attacking kids or anything. It's all just story and good ones will have an impact on you. A lot of the Tavnazia stories were sad or grim, with loved ones and whole families dying, and the CoP content was some of the best storyline-wise in all of FFXI. If you want something a little more palatable for you, may I suggest Lego Universe or Toontown?

America is known for being one of the highest censored countries in terms of children's programming. The FCC regulations have become tyrants the last 20 years. In the 80's and 90's every gun in childrens cartoons fired lasers. Tanks, helicopters, hand guns. Watch G.I Joe. Nobody is ever maimed or hurt from explosions or shots. Shows like Rocko's Modern Life and Ren&Stimpy could never get FCC approval today. You can't say damn, crap, kill, die or hell on children's shows. Then look at TV shows from around the world including Japan where death and violence are normal. Then American parents want to turn around and say cartoons inspire violence whilst other countries have more violent programming and have overall less crime. Oh no, god forbid someone says hell or makes direct references to death. I remember when Gundam Wing came to NA back in 2001 and Duo's battle cry from the Japanese version "The God of Death is back from Hell!" was replaced with "The great destroyer is back again!" for the dub. If that's not cringe worthy, I don't know what is. Or when Vegeta is barraging the Cooler army he shouts "Eat shit and die!" in the Japanese version, expressing his frustration with how the clones keep regenerating. In the dub they replaced it with "Why won't you be destroyed?"

I'm gonna agree, America is heavily censored and heavily hypocritical. For example, the reason Elin of Tera is being censored is because it can fall under "Child Porn", yet I watched America's Funniest home videos where they have no problem showing naked toddlers and under ~5 kids which by law, falls under 'Child Porn' as well. (Even though by definition it doesn't, but America lops off an arm instead of a finger to kill an infection.)
Hmm...
There's a reason people generally mock American media, I mean early 90s in terms of Anime they even censored out cigarettes yet some of the most popular TV shows from the early era in America if I recall were shows like I love Lucy, which they had entire segments dedicated to smoking and that show was family oriented.
Then you have the whole "OMG I DONT WANT MY CHILD WATCHING FILTH LIKE NAKED WOMEN BLAH BLAH BLAH!" yet you publicize useless women like Kim Kardashian :|
America is so confusing. Though anime dubbing in general is pretty bad, it's more they lack understanding and context for most studios, but Funimation actually got better at it when I compare original vs dub. I honestly think the heavy censorship in America is because, and no offense, they don't know the difference between many subject matters these days, like the whole 'Child Porn' hunt in Europe and America, they consider Nudity of any kind to be Pornography. Think of what would happen if that would have been banned in Italy during the Renaissance era.

Putting children in harmful, cruel, or anything westerners fine obscene has always been an issue with video games. For the longest time I kept wondering where the hell were the children, as well as cats and dogs, in Liberty City when playing GTAIV.
It's not sadism putting a child in a very real situation that exist for children today.

"I think we should eat any children we find in Tavnazia. I suggest this because children taste good."
And yes, the title is italicized because it was published separately in spite of being a very short work. He focused more on wearing a huge and goofy crown than written composition, in fact, so it is his only work.

I did think of that a couple of times, but what gets me everytime is how "Putta" is said like "Puta", which in portuguese is taken as "bitch"... it feels wrong to me everytime I see the little taru run around. When I got to this thread and read the "sadistic" I somehow thought it'd have something to do with this.

That and there are CCTV cameras every 10 feet in every major town and city. The UK is generally referred to by anyone outside of it as "the Nanny state."

I've you delve a bit deeper, you'll find traumatized and dead children in more storylines in FFXI.
The dead don't always realise they are dead. And when they do, they usually end up mad as a hatter... (like

Who brings their family to an active mining operation?
I could see a picnic outside the mine entrance or something but bringing children into an already dangerous series of mine shafts as a general "bring your family to work day" sounds borderline silly.

If I lived in a world where turtle-people chilled out around campfires not two miles away from my home between their attempts at eating me, I'm not sure I would think twice about taking a child into an active mine.

Merely looking at "provocative" images of women that "seem underage" on the internet is illegal and can get you sent to prison in the UK. It doesn't matter if it's real, or a drawing, or she's actually 25, nor does it matter if it's an accidentally typed URL or a popup, it's still illegal and can land you in jail.
But it's not as bad as Australia where images of small breasts are banned because the government believes that looking at small breasted women is the gateway to pedophilia apparently.
