wtf is up with se why cant pup equip anything in ammo slot while got an animator its not a weapon but se i guess thinks it is i notice there are some decent stuff tht wud help automaton but cant put it in ammo slot cus of the animator lol kind of stupid its not a weapon its a gd device used to communicate with the automaton why cant thy get tht thr there head i love pup just some things thy need to address it ty for listening

I heard if you had the ability to equip an item in your ammo slot with an animator, it would improve your ability to type.

It's because the ammo slot is reserved for the ever-so-useful automaton oils.

Bad typing aside, Animators are considered weapons when you .dat mine them. They always come up as 1 dmg 999 dly or something.

As a weapon, only 'ammo' can be equipped, and as such oil is the only ammo for said weapon. I wish you just had to have a useable animator/oils in your inventory and could use w/e ammo slot item you wanted.

its also not that hard to write the macro to only equip the animator when you need to use it and equip ammo/range when you have finished.

All items going into the ranged and ammo slot belong to a certain group, and only items from the same group can coexist in both ranged and ammo slots.

That doesn't explain why animators cause TP loss on equip/unequip though. Perhaps BST originally needed whips in the ranged slot to order their pets around, but the idea got scrapped until PUP came along.
