I just picked up SCH again after boxing it away for a while. After regearing and remacroing, and playing a while nuking lizards for Ice Staves with some friends, I started to think.... wouldn't it be awesome to have a counter next to your MP that monitored Strategem charges?
I know I know PS2 Limitations >.> Just a thought tho!

Yeah I'd get a bit of use out of this actually. Most of the time just using /recast in the strategem macros themselves is enough for me. I'm thinking of Immanence though, where' I'll occasionally check remaining strats manually or by typing /recast so I don't waste the first one only to find out that I can't use a second one.
You can also put /recast in a separate macro, but I don't have enough space to justify it.

Better idea. Scholar just gets a permanent status effect like Dancer gets with Finishing Moves, I can't imagine that wouldn't be too difficult to implement. Though personally I'd get little use out of it, but it would be nice none the less.

Yeah put it right up there on the status bar. Thinking about it more though, I don't think I'd replace my /recast lines unless the counter included a timer too. Sometimes it makes a big difference not only how many I have left but how long until the next one recharges. Like I might not go for Immanence if all I saw was 1, but I might if I saw 1 with 5 seconds left.

Just add a number to the Light Arts / Dark Arts icons. This way it only shows up when you have Arts active to be able to use a Stratagem. SE did it with Utsusemi.

I use a /recast line on my macros for the strategems. It's usually something like...
/ja "Parsimony" <me>
/recast "Parsimony"
That'll kick back something like [Parsimony] 0:48 (4), so I've always got an idea on where my Strategem count is.
