View Full Version : Empyrean seals and the need for storage

OK, so empyrean armor seals are now mailable to mules. It's too bad I don't have mules, but I am now seriously tempted to mail all my seals to myself...

There needs to be a real storage solution for these things implemented now. 20 jobs multiplied by 5 armor pieces comes out to be 100 individual types of seals. That fills up inventory real fast, all but requiring you to drop seals you don't need immediately.

Personally, considering the effort involved in getting these seals, I'd rather hold on to seals I may not need right at that second. I'd like a solution to storing these that doesn't take up 50+ inventory slots.

It reminds me of passing on relic armor drops because I didn't want ten incomplete sets clogging my mog house. The relic armor situation has been resolved, why not the empyrean armor now?

Hmmm.. easy solution. Don't do all empyrean AF at once.
Stick to 1 to 4 key jobs at once and then move over to the next.
There are a lot of NMs that drop these seal so you don't have to rely on Dom Ops and it's randomness.

1.) No monster drops only seals for only one job. Otherwise it'd be hard to find help.
2.) They tend not to drop the exact number a particular player needs. Sometimes too few, sometimes too many.
3.) There are other reasons to do Dominion Ops (and quests, etc.) than the seals.

You can store seals. Store them in the delivery crate in Rulude Gardens. Trade your seals as you get them to the crate.

Other than that, just get a mule. It's $1 a month.

Looks like another post asking for a resolution to a problem that has already been resolved.

Seals cannot be traded to the crate in and of themselves, they must be traded as a part of a magian trial. This would replace the "inventory -1" of an incomplete set of seals with the "inventory -1" of a piece of empyrean armor stuck at mid-trial (which the Porter Moogle won't touch).

And this is before considering that you can only have a finite number of magian trials open at a time.

As for the mule, if it's so gosh darn cheap and convenient, buy me one.

Ok, I'll make it easy so even a child can understand.
No, you can't have everything. It's a principle of life that you have to priorize what you want and therefore you'll have to learn what is important and what not.

The game has limited ressources and the developer did increased our pockets over the years.
But there was one thing they never did - and that's understandable and right - they never created a special inventory for crafting or quest items. If you don't have enough inventory - drop/sell/mule what you don't need.

The seals stored in the delivery crate are taking up the same amount of space that the completed Empyrean armor piece would take up.

ONE DOLLAR A MONTH IS NOT A LOT OF MONEY. GET. A. MULE.

I seriously can't comprehend how someone can afford $13.95 a month for a subscription, but $14.95 will break the bank.

Personally, considering the effort involved in getting these seals, I'd say I put more effort into making breakfast any given morning and have no issue dropping any and all seals I don't need right at that second.

That said, it's not like being able to store them would hurt anyone. Given how deranged some of the development bros can be, however, I have to wonder if losing inventory space by hoarding seals is considering part of the "difficulty" of making Empyrean armor. They've had stranger ideas in their heads.
