View Full Version : Test Server Feedback: Relic Weapon trails
On the test server for relic weapons you need 10 Animated Weapon kills for the level 95 trail. You have to kill Satellite weapons for a pop item to kill the Animated weapons. Now I spent 60 min on my Paladin killing Satellite Longswords and not a single one dropped the pop item to spawn Animated Longsword. I ran out of time.
The drop rate on Satellite weapons needs to be increased and 10 kills seems like an awful lot for not even getting 1 done in 1 day.
On the other hand the mythic weapon trail seems rather easy 3 salvage boss kills. 100% chance you will to fight the boss and they are rather easy to kill. While in dynamis you can spend an hour not even see the drop you need to fight you NM Animated weapon.

Or you could be a good player and
1. Get time extensions so you aren't limited to just 1 hour
2. Bring THFs so you have Treasure Hunter
3. Bring more people in general so you kill more Animated Weapons in the given time frame

Its the test server with like 21 people on so your going to have to do this solo.
Getting time extensions solo wastes a good deal of time running all over the map so its better just to not get them anyway since the net gain on time isn't that much so its just better to not get them and go for your objective.
Bring more people? Most people in FFXI can't be bothered to do anything that doesn't benefit them (see abyssea) so most likely people will be soloing this, and not on THF unless you have Mandau.

I went in the other day to farm a amano fragment, got two drops for that nm and a drop to also pop the apoc fragment nm.
Had over 90 minutes left when all 3 fragments were sitting happily in peoples mog sacks i really don't see any problem here.
I was with two other people i may add but im sure you must have two friends you can drag along.

When I was first testing Xarcabard after the changes back when, I remember getting quite a few from the Satellite Knuckles I think it was, and some from others...
Perhaps it was just a streak of really bad luck on that regard, or perhaps there is something wrong... I will try to look into it as well, as time allows. Been exploring the Valkurm one today so I can't go right now.
Not that these Trials affect me since I will likely never have a Relic nor Mythic weapon. ;^^
