Shield throwing JA for Pld

I personally don't play pld nor do I intend to (I hate tanking). But I've always thought it would be cool for pld's to have a JA where they can throw their shield (and for it to return, of course. It would be bad to accidentally throw your genbu shield and lose it...). It can have a timer like jump (1:30, 3 or 5 minutes) and it's dmg can be based off of it's def. Thought this might make pld's a more interesting job to play as well as give them something extra to do damage with.

It's called Shield Bash. Deals a small amount of damage and can stun. And the PLD keeps a firm hold of it at all times.

Also, Paladin's have no throwing skill. Nor are shields particularly effective throwing weapons... You're more likely to brain the WHM behind you then hit something in front.

I realize that pld's get shield bash. I just thought it'd be a cool, fun thing that pld's can mess with. Even if the damage is equivalent to a regular melee dmg of the pld. I just thought it would be fun.

Yes, I realize that pld's at level 4 can't tank. The statement about tanking has nothing to do with my job levels. I just dont't think tanking is fun.

You should try to tank sometime anyway, it's lots of fun.

Actually, I've never watched Captain America. Even the cartoon made back in the... 70's? Do they have a recent cartoon? But why do people think I want a shield throw to stun? I just thought it might be fun for tank's to have a distance JA just for fun... I mean drg's get angon and jumps. We have melee with spears and yet we throw them... But sure, if every tank thinks it's a bad idea. No skin off my nose.

I've had to tank enough on war and nin back when level 50 was a big deal. Just not my cup of tea.

While it would be fun to throw a screaming taru WHM as a sort of holy handgrenade, there is such a thing as too much fun...
