Test Server - Feedback on DNC

The new move is absolute garbage and a waste of time.
We need a replacement for this move, because no matter what it will always be worthless.

Here are some ideas that I think should be added.

1. Give Dancer a higher Dual Wield

2. Cut down Curing Waltz IV and V recast by 5 seconds

3. Infatuation Samba: Lowers enemies Attack and Magic Attack.

4. Piercing Samba: Lowers enemies Defense and Magic Defense.

5. Increase the strength of Reverse Flourish a tad.

6. How about some more attack power?

7. Give Steps more power and by that I mean, there effects are more potent.


I suggest reading these two posts again Square-Enix with out gunning us down for being DNC.

As DNC the only huge problem I saw was the inefficient recast times on Healing Waltz and Waltz4+. You shouldn't have to choose between removing 1 ailment and curing over the next 15/20 seconds. But this has already been said, and scoffed at by SE. Their logic is that Waltzes can't be interrupted and are instant so they have to have a huge gaping weakness of recast and utility.

We already have a high dual wield, and the highest Dual Wield increase in a single piece of armor. I don't see our dual wield base surpassing NIN.

The Hybrid steps (mentioned here as Sambas?) are a good idea. If they were sambas I don't see myself using them much over Haste Samba.

Reverse Flourish is already kind of potent, especially with merits and AF3. I don't see the harm in increasing it a little though, maybe to have extra TP to Samba/Waltz before weaponskilling.

Damage dealing was never our strongpoint, but Abyssea changed that. You see DNC going around soloing EVERYTHING in that place. Abyssea is not forever though~ or is it...?

Increasing step potency would be nice, but the duration of the effect increased would be better. Once at lvl5 Daze you're just wasting tp to keep the effect at max.

Love DNC, will always love DNC no matter how many times SE kicks it in the teeth.

That isn't really test server feedback. Most of it is stuff that people have been bothered with all the time.

But as a Summoner I'm used to terrible stuff. I simply view waltz IV and V as a "downtime" waltz, to refill between battles when you aren't being pummeled. Though it is interesting how it is the oppositve of Cure V, which is the spell to use while getting pummeled since it cures so much and you don't want to have too many interrupt moments.
