Booted out and all content ID's cancelled. Glitch, or Intended?

Just making sure this wasn't a glitch that will get me double charged. At around 2:00am, September second, I was ejected from the game while skilling in Abyssea. A window came up, too fast to see, stating there was some sort of error. I'm thinking pol 0270 or something. it was a small string of numbers none the less. After trying to log back in, the game then informed me that i have no content id's. I am back online, after transferring and reactivating accounts and characters, also signing for click and buy, so i was not hacked. I believed that what happened was a forced cancellation from Square-Enix's end until i got back on and related what happened to others. Those others did not think so and expressed that it did not happen to them, AND they haven't signed up for click and buy, or crysta. Due to the oddness of the incident, I don't exactly which forum to go to, but i would like to know if this operation was intended by SE staff, And why am i the only one out of the people I know?

Also, when i tried to check my Content ID statis after the incident, it said the server was doing maintanence. wondering if some wires got crossed during that as well.
