As the topic implies, no love for us europeans? Will we ever be able to pre-order and eventually get the CD on the European store?
I'm talking about THIS ONE (http://store.na.square-enix.com/store/sqenixus/en_US/pd/productID.235462500) one, which appeared on the US POL website but not on the EU one :( :( :(

Spare a thought for those who aren't in the EU or US and can't even have a hope of obtaining items like that; i.e. Tidal Talisman

It also appears that Japanese customers can also purchase (http://www.square-enix.co.jp/music/sem/page/ff11_plus/) this soundtrack...Why leave the rest of us out, SE? We pay for and love this game as much as everybody else. :(

That's fantastic news! Thank you so much! :D
I have one question regarding the "Spinet" item: I have an NA POL account linked to my EU SE account. Would I need the NA version for the Spinet code to register?

Thank you~!

Thank you~!If it's like other reward code items (such as the Piano Collections soundtrack), the code is universal, and can be used for any region.

Oh really? I haven't grabbed any of this type stuff before, but that's really good news. Thank you. :3 The EU one is really expensive though, coming in at a whopping $48 (approx)! XD

You might have a problem, though. As of yesterday (at least) the US store ceased to have it 'in stock', i.e. can't preorder it. I don't exactly get how that works, but that's how it is at present. I'd love to preorder it but it seems they don't want anymore money for it.

I was very pleased to see the announcement of this finally appearing to the EU-site as well, as I generally am very annoyed and disheartened by things (especially in-game items) offered to only certain regions.

As a musician, Final Fantasy games (Nobuo Uematsu's work basically) has been a big thing to me ever since I stumbled upon the title some 20 years ago, so this is surely something I want into my collection.

Thank you!

Any word if the sold out pre-orders will be restocked for more available purchases prior to the release date in November?

Will it be available to most of Europe or only England, France and Germany?
I remember wanting to buy things from the store in the past but only those three countries were supported.

So why are we having to wait two months after JPs and NAs can get it? Kind of "we love you EUs, but not as much as everyone else" then.

I'd chock it up to bureaucratic nonsense. It was the same with the PS3 if you remember, though in that case they also went and gimped it for EU release so take that as you will.

Hmm, I sent off an email to SE (North America) regarding my problem (NA POL linked with EU SE account) and this is what they had to say:

Regarding your request for account support. Please find your answer below.

Your POL information must match your registration. If your Playonline account is NA region, you will still need to register with an NA code for it to work properly if at all. I hope this answers your questions.

So...Oh dear. Can one of the EU based SE reps please clarify this because I really hope this isn't true, since the NA shop doesn't allow you to select an EU country to ship to... :(

Seriously, S-E, are you kidding me? When you said that this soundtrack would be available to order 'soon' how about telling us explicitly from which shop (give us a link!) and telling us WHEN. We know that your version of 'soon' might be sometime this decade - so how about being a bit clearer? #annoyedatlookingattheshopwebsites

Hello?! Anyone from Square Enix? I emailed the store and received a response claiming that they have no plans to sell that item. Does the left hand know what the right hand is doing?

Please let us know when this CD is going to be available for preorder.

I got the first piano furniture, so I'd like this one as well to attract more customers to my carpenters' stall :D (I think I need to pay the mannequin more gil though.. sales are at an all time low, and I think her stiff appearance might be the problem...)

If it was just the music, you could always download it or listen to it on online FF radios. But SE is wickedly smart with that ingame item... gotta buy the actual CD if you want that furniture! And me wants the precious!
(Download is semi-legal if the owner of the music refuses to deliver it to you for a (reasonable) price, although you must delete the download or buy the music when it does becomes available to you.)

Funny how I could have the CD send to every one of the Dutch (former) colonies from the US site, but not the Netherlands themselves...

Hello everyone!

First of all please accept my apologies for not answering sooner. At the moment regarding the EU region, pre-order of the "Final Fantasy XI Original Soundtrack Plus" is only available to French customers. (Link here (http://www.square-enix-boutique.com/musique-musiques-final-fantasy-xi-original-soundtrack-plus.html))

We are still working on others EU countries, sadly at the moment I cannot confirm if pre-order will be available before November 9th. However as soon as more information is available, the main page of the European PlayOnline.com (http://www.playonline.com/ff11eu/index.shtml) website will be updated!

Thank you for your patience!

As long as they are shipping everywhere in Europe I don't really care from which shop I have to buy it.

Anyway, thanks Youmukon for your reply. Domo arigatou gozaimashita ^_^

That site seems to allow you to register from any french-speaking country. It's all in french (which I don't speak) but I could make my way through to the registering page where it gave options for Canada, Belgium, Luxemburg and many I didn't recognise. (England and Germany weren't among them though)

Nice to see that the rest of us are SOL for the furnishing for pre-order though.

what i want to know now is, with the pre order date gone, and no chance for a spinet with the date past, can we see SE users in EU areas have chance to get one? as that will indeed b a new low if not, as its been advertised for all players, and yet, only NA JP and french get it?

i really dont know why a promotional code should expire...
if i buy it an year later, why i cant get the item?
nobody will buy the cd if he cant get the game item...

I thought the code for the Spinet comes in all 1st edition CD's, not just preordered ones.
Then again who knows if there will be any left after the preorder run :(

If by the time we can order from the EU shop (not french one) none of theSpinet codes are left it would be so sad T.T

Edit: And yea what Lushipur said. >.< I know i would not shell out 30 € if i didn't get the code tbh.

Hello again, I will bring a sad news to our fellow European players. As of now, no release of the OST is planned in the UK or any other EU countries that isn't France / Luxembourg and Belgium. OST arrived today in France and hopefully will be ready to be shipped in the next few days.

Regarding the code for FF XI, I am still in the process of confirming if codes from other regions can work on European FF XI accounts.

Once again, I would like to thank everyone for their patience and I completely understand how frustrating it may be not to be able to get the OST delivered in all EU countries.

Posting this here so those not following new threads will see it soon as well.
Unfortunately, I could see this coming. =/

Good job once more again, SqEX, good job...
How hard can it be for someone the likes of you.
There's not many of us, just a few.
If all this is just a clue, to get some more money from as many as few, at least let us all get into it. My money is just as good as theirs, right? I understand it can be difficult, but really, just mew?

What.

Point being, things like this, especially the in-game item, should be available to everyone, or no one.

Moreover, how hard can it be to copy a CD and send it?
Funny, that. And I will stop rambling now.
Parles vous Francais? (Not like it helps that I can understand the languages of everywhere it is available, they just will not send it outside, will they. This is ridonkulous.)

It's not as easy as "print a CD and send it". If you ever worked in a company that sells things all over the world you would understand how hard this could be. There is a huge logistic behind the scene.

I do agree that it isn't an excuse for a company as big and as international as Square Enix not to sell an OST to all EU countries but still, it's more complicated than print a CD and send it.

If you know someone you can trust in France, maybe try and see if that person can order it for you, and ship it back to you.

I do know a thing or two about things, I don't seriously think it's just about "print & send", of course not, but I'm quite certain they should be able to work it out. ^^;

My Japanese soundtrack just arrived (I ordered from Play-Asia) and my code for the Spinet registered just fine on my EU account - thought I'd post just to let others know. Thanks for mentioning that. I shall take upon the adventure and see if I can get one from there as well. The shipping costs can almost double the price, but oh well, I think I will take the risk and choose the cheapest way there is, if I am able to give them my money that is. It wont work with me "main-bank", so will need some days to work it out!
Wow, paid on 29th I think, and noticed the day after that it was shipped later that day, even though being not in stock and "Usually ships within 2 to 4 weeks". Did not expect that, haha.

Shall see if it ever gets here, though, and in what shape!
Seems way too good to be.
