View Full Version : Disappointing to see some results from test server...

Just spent the last 40mins or so reviewing what folks have been discovering on the test server (haven't had the time yet to get in on all the testing fun, between work and school) but from what I've read so far, I'm a little concerned:
DRK - Scarlet Delirium, DNC - Ternary Flourish, PUP - Cooldown, and BST - Run Wild to name a few...
Four words: Folks. Are. Not. Happy.
I read through all of their individual feed backs and their individual observations appear (based on comments made) to be valid. I hope SE takes these into consideration.

That's why they opened a TEST server prior to an official release...I am surprised so many ppl are surprised at these kind of results...SE has already started taking player tested feedback into question from what I've seen, so the test server is doing exactly what it should do, test things to see if they work or don't work.

Run wild is good so far. Noticeable pet attack speed increase, damage increase, and evasion increase. More so than familiar for sure. Seems like a good way to boost BST parse in short battles/events like einherjar or voidwatch, and a good way to enjoy those last 5 minutes of your pet's life if its about to de-spawn from timeout anyway.

It's a test server not a sneak peak server.

Run Wild is definitely good. Appears to give a nice Regen effect to jugpets as well as the attack power, defense and attack speed. And a very nice duration. More of a pop it and kill as much stuff as possible rather than the "holy crap I'm going to die I better pop Run Wild as a last resort!"
Scarlet Delirium is ok but could be better. But I also need to test it on mobs that can hit me for more than 50 damage.
Also per the posts before me, it is a test server and that is what we're supposed to be doing. Testing the content and submitting feedback so they can go over it accordingly and fix any possible bugs.

How are you detecting an increase in attack speed, attack power? My tests show no improvement in attack or STR of the pet. I did not perceive an improvement in attack speed, but I'll readily admit I'm not sure how to check that right now. the regen is very noticeable, but that's all I've been able to confirm so far. I don't see an improvement in performance of the pets. If we cannot find it, then it may as well not exist.

Dipper was attacking noticeably faster for me, as if haste was cast on it. Melee attacks, non crit, boosted up from 78~124 to 108~178 on the target mob.

louise has the slowest attack speed. I have some in my satchel, even though the moogle won't make those for us. I'll test it on on louise to try to compare attack speed.

I'm sure they did; They mentioned something about test server not being finalized on implementations. One of the reasons they're even doing this is to collect data and feedback. Most players should provide constructive criticism to help Dev Team to make the decisions they need so that implementation on their part is effective and enjoyable for players.
