Are people being successful with the test server sign-up process?

I've tried numerous times and I keep getting a message that says I do not fit the criteria, but I went through the requirements list and I match everything. The only thing I'd question is the "over level 90" thing. I'm level 90 at the max exp allowed.

There hasn't been a level cap raise while I wasn't paying attention, has there?

Otherwise, I dunno what is going on. Account has been linked, I play on PC, ect. I just don't get it.

You need to have transfered and use the new payment methods in order to sign. Linking your SE account to POL isn't enough as you could do that before. (I think you can still just link your account without switching the payment methods, so if you haven't I'd guess that's the problem)

I was having the same problem, but this here helped me:


You have to make sure that your account is linked up on the Square Enix Account website. Log into the website and from there you go to Select Service under Service and options. Then under where it states Linked PlayOnline IDs that Need to be Transferred click on transfer for the account that you are playing under. After that you should get a confirmation email stating your account has been transfered. If that all works you should be able to apply again.

For some reason I hadn't done that part - I thought I did it one month ago when I selected new payment method, but somewhere along the line I messed up. Followed the steps in the quote and it worked. Hope it helps you aswell.

Or follow the other advice that is probably more applicable to your issue. I just know that the star has eluded quite a few people.

When you select your character to use for the test, you have to click the silver star next to your character's picture. :)

I don't get that option. I get a message saying none of my characters are eligible.

"You do not have any characters which meet the Admission."

You have to have one character with one job at level 90. BTW selecting which character is confusing. I mean the "star" you are supposed to check is anything but obvious to spot. Also you are greeted with a plenty amount of Japanese messages should something go wrong.

I just signed up and it worked for me no problems. I also signed up at the click and buy thing.

Click on Settings on the top right of the forum page, then select Edit Character. You should get a list of all characters connected to your POL/SE ID. At the top left corner of each character, there is a little star (gray in colour). You need to click on the star on the character you want to be your main (i.e. the one you want to use on test server), it will turn yellow when you do so.

Thank you. That did the trick. I guess it was a cookies problem.

I successfully signed up. Just in time too. The status changed from "plenty of space" to "a little space" left.

There is a notice on the sign up page that you need to re-log into your SQEX account before signing up. Are people missing this?
