add time while in side abyssea-

i have been wanting to see this changed for a while but know one has yet brot it up. sertin jobs cant get TE's as easily as others and or the tipe of thing they are doing in abyssea does not lend its self to TE's farming.

so would it be possible to add the ablatie to add time from the stones you have on you while still in abyssea .

the other day we had to start gold box farming over because we did not have the peaple to get TE's and we were low on time. but if we could have gon to the npc and handed in mor stones we would have been fine.

Its been brought up and shot down by the players and even the devs this is a limiting mechanic used to force you to choose what to focus on while inside.

That said all jobs can cap Azure if they are smart about it. Trickier in Heroes zones but the older ones its pretty easy. Make sure you stay under 128 Ruby and you'll be able to build Azure, Pearl, and Amber. If you can't kill fast enough on a non Azure job then well suck less or come on a job that can build azure easily.

Just curious...if you know time is going to be an issue for you....then why didn't you bring a job that can farm at least a nice chunk of azure for you up front so you can get TE's?

If you are soloing, I'd say that dnc isn't the greatest job to solo build lights, especially azure since the only thing you can do is use elemental ninjutsu (with low skill compared to nin main). If you're lowmanning things, bring a blm or a blu (or even rdm or sch) to build azure. We usually have the dedicated azure light person go kill ephmereals/T1 vnms and they also get to azure kill lesser nms if necessary.

First I'll say this I don't farm on DNC because I have other options available.

Second this is the method I've used on MNK/DNC and WAR/DNC to solo skill up inside Abyssea while keeping time in the positive range.

Disclaimer: this applies to Scars/Visions not Heroes

1. Farm 20-50 Pearl Lights.
2. Farm 50-100 Ruby Lights. This will give you enough lights to favor Ruby chests but not enough lights to go past Pearl/Azure showing up.
3. Focus on killing fast and opening Ruby chests that have Azure/Pearl lights.
4. Once you've gotten Azure to 128+ go do w/e you want to do.

An alternative in Mis. Coast (at least on Bismarck that zone has capped lights) pay a BLM to kill 2 HQ Murex for you to have capped Azure. Usually I'll find one in the zone soloing and they'll gladly help out or I've offered 10-50k gil which isn't much anymore but it gets the lights I need faster than my alternative.
