To the devs: please let us have Moogle storage slips that are specific to a job.

This way, if I want to switch to that job, I can pull all my artifact (+1), relic (+1), empyrean (+1,+2) armor for that job from one slip and don't have to trade up to 6 slips and then individually recover up to to 15 items. There could be an option to recover all items at once.

Even better: convert storage slips into key items so we don't have to carry them around with us and we can just go to the porter moogle and deposit/withdraw gear.

Wait, you want us to go from 7 storage slips (Artifact, Artifact+1, Relic, Relic+1, Emp, Emp+1, Emp+2) to 20 storage slips (WAR, MNK, etc.)? That defeats the purpose of having storage slips to begin with....

There are 11 storage slips not 7.

I could see this being somewhat appealing if you aren't the kind that's geared for more than 11 jobs so it would be less space. + it could be much faster this way (which is what I think the OP was going for). It's also easy to assume as the lvl cap increases they're going to need to add more slips for the newer gear sets.

Best bet if they did implement it is to just add these rather than replace. Then people can decide which method they'd prefer.

I don't see them spending time on it tbh though.

I do like the idea of slips being key items however, similar to the storage slips from the storage npc. This would help a lot.

Thing I really wish they would do is just get rid of the NPCs completely and just add another menu option to our moogle to trade these slips, we could do all this in our mog house :/ Trade the slips get the gear etc, gearing jobs when you swap is already annoying why they make it moreso is beyond me.

Out of the storage slips issued, how many of them are solely based on Job specific armors? Yeah....7 storage slips. The other 4 storage slips are for event specific armors (Salvage, Sky, etc).

But the main problem is, if you have more than 7 jobs, this will not save space at all, and you will not save space at all. Plus, there are 7 storage slips that does the job of the 20 the OP is wishing to do, there is nothing wrong with our current system as it stands.

That I will agree with you about.

That's why I said add these options vs. replace. Then people can choose which slips to use that fit their playstyles.

But wouldn't that be overlapping? We are already having an issue with storage for this game (PS2limitations and all that), why would we tax more of our precious memory on redundant issues such as this? In this case, there should be one or the other, not both, because both suits the same needs as each other, and having both is just a waste.

I said If they did. Ie if they really wanted it add not replace. and I already said I highly doubt they would bother with it anyway.

overtime though those slips are probably going to be 20 or more as new gear keeps getting added. So it could be an issue in the future.

Though the best thing is to make them key items. If anything comes out of this thread I hope it's that.

I was thinking about this, but thinking more along the lines of "Job Specific Storage"

Like you buy a furnishing, say "Immortal's Cabinet" that would specifically hold any piece of gear that his BLU specific, or to a further stretch, even any piece of gear that is available to BLU (Epona's Ring, Atheling Mantle, Almace).

It could be targetable as to not clutter the already full Moogle menu, and just opens up a storage setting. Only problem I can see is you'd need 20 of them if you play every job.

Just give us an option for (Store all of X job's gear in our inventory) and (retrieve all of X job's gear from slip(s))

Or allow macro commands to swap items between places, so you could have like a huge macro set that just rolls right through the inventory with move X from Y to Z.

What, like taking a staff from the Mog Sack and putting it into Inventory while placing that hat from Inventory into Mog Satchel at the same time?

Just to clarify, I did not mean replace. I mean add these storage slips as another option. So the guy who plays 10+ jobs can work with the existing slip system, whereas the person who plays say 3-4 jobs can use the job specific ones.

I think Leonlionheart's idea is great, but I'd propose the following modification: create a new 80-max storage system like safe and locker that is tied to the current main job. Let's call it the "JSE Locker" for lack of a better term. The contents of the JSE locker are server side, so PS2 limitations are not relevant. That locker has a different content for every job, so you actually get 20x80 = 1600 new storage. Each JSE Locker can store any type of item, though in practice, it would be used for items that are only used by that one job.

That is a lot of work for the programmers there.

Think they might actually do it?
