This idea was originally by Karbuncle but I thought I would create a whole thread on this so it wouldn't get lost in amongst other posts in it's original thread, which can be found here:

Ok so those that can't be bothered navigating to that page this was her idea:
A weapon skill for polearm similar to that of Sanguine Blade, however instead of healing the player for the given amount - it would heal the Wyvern for the given amount.
I believe a weapon skill that would restore Wyvern HP for about 25-50% would not be deemed overpowered, yet it would create a bit more Wyvern survivability.
