Not sure if anyone posted this already, but since a club is main weapon for WHMs ( Evene AF1 weapon is a club as are mystic and relic), i find it paradox, that there is no option to make a cure potency club.

Id love to at least get the option to go though such a trial. I cant see where this could go any wrong as there is a cure potency cap of 50% gearwise anyhow.

Please Developers, if you read this id be happy if you would pass that info along.

Thanks in advance

Yeah.. remember a thread about this a while back. Had a lot of support for it, but fell off the front pages and disappeared into the void. Maybe we can keep this one up front for a while this time.

Maybe they thought everyone would just do the staff one, since it's got more jobs on it then the magian clubs. That's another issue too...the job restriction on the clubs--well, all magian elemental paths in general are a bit too restrictive on who can use them. That thread has fallen to the back pages as well.

There is also a fairly potent Cure Potency club, which can be paired with a Cure Potency Genbu's Shield for those who want to go the club/shield route, or who plain want to go the club/club route.

Oh yeah forgot about that club... wasn't it a VW item? Forget the name of it to look it up.

Tefnut Wand (Rare)
(Club) All Races
DMG: 42 Delay: 216
MND+10
Healing magic skill+5
Cure Potency+15%
Lv. 87 WHM / BLM / RDM / SMN / SCH

Drops from the pixie, Belphoebe. She's the Tier III VoidWatch monster in Jugner Forest.

Combined with a well-augmented Genbu's Shield, it comes out pretty much equal to the current Cure Potency staff.

The only downside to that club is that the drop is very rare. We killed it again tonight, getting plenty of procs, trading cells etc and nobody in the entire alliance got anything better than random rocks and wood.

In addition to the rocks and wood, you can sometimes get equipment which none of your jobs can use. This has the added benefit of making people who want said equipment feel sad when you mention it's in your personal chest. Which, if you're being really honest with yourself, feels like an awesome reward sometimes.

eh.... they've dropped to the 4m range on Carbuncle. Maybe they'll get to a more reasonable range to just buy one one day. Would be nice if they had a magian version for the Winja crowd though--even if it was just a Templar Mace equivalent (10% potency) but with better damage rating (think that thing was like 29 dmg.). Just a little something to use if you need the curing as well. But, thats usually something for goofing off solo or a few friends.

I bit the bullet and made the 22% staff since I can swap that in on BLM and SMN also when I have to go on cure duty. Only time I really get to swing clubs in a serious party is if they want the help on proc really--otherwise it's staff on the back line <yawn>. But it would be nice to have a decent path to a good cure potency club just the same, especially considering the Magian Clubs are WHM only anyway.

Honestly, everyone who mentions bringing a fleet of WHM mules for Voidwatch instead of getting players who play WHM reward me whenever they complain about said WHM mules getting loot they don't want.

SE provides a system that doesn't punish you for bringing more people, and people crap on it by dual boxing. I think that if RMT ever plan on getting a major foothold back into the game, they'll do it with dual boxed characters.

I don't really see why a cure potency club would be needed. What annoys me about the elemental clubs is the really low base damage. Mostly through the game, all clubs which are WHM exclusive have higher base damage than what you would expect and these are pretty pathetic tbh. And they're not all hammers because the seawold and sea robber ones were great to have at level 75. Why did you give them such low base damage Square Enix?

Give me someone who doesn't suck at WHM, and I'll bring someone who plays WHM.

The gap is small, but Surya's Staff +2 and Verse Strap +1 is still the better combination.

* Yes! It does cure for more (according to the cure calculator).
* Likely to receive additional cure potency from the Lv 95 and/or 99 trials.
* Easier to make than playing augment roulette on the shield or finding the wand for sale/obtaining it via Voidwatch.
* BRD can use it.

If by better, you mean easier to get, then yes. But a Tefnut with a gear set that caps cure potency can cure more given the Mind pluses. There is an entire thread on this at FFXIAH. (http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/23864/tefnut-wand-vs-suryas-staff-2/)

For a White Mage, the Tefnut Wand will win every time if you are trying to push the absolute highest cure numbers. That said, considering how hard it is to get one, I don't expect every White Mage to have one (I do expect every White Mage to at least have the Surya's Staff +2 however!), and personally, I don't even have a Tefnut Wand.

Maybe future updates will change this for White Mage, but only time will tell. For other jobs, this might not be true, but White Mage is the club user.
