Auto-translate update where?

I know that Square enix is limited on Auto-translate function due too ps2 Limitation but doesn't give them an excuse not too update.

They could phase out Old text for Auto-translate people normally wont even use & could dump it and make new Auto-translate for Abyssea-Zones and more.

*They could make a forum where they can make all the Auto-translate listen and click yes OR no phase out this text too create room for the new Auto-translate.

Problem with this is not everyone comes to the forum, so not everyone would provide feedback. So it wouldn't be a good representation of the target population you are aiming to get your data from. You would have to find a way to get a good slice of representative data to achieve what you want and that would probably require more manpower than they are willing to give right now.

Additionally, I'd like to see auto-translate added to the forums. Why? Because a major part of my FFXI experience has and always will be the auto-translate function.

Couldn't they just do some server side magic and track what people autotranslate over like two months, and remove the terms that are never used for so to add new ones in their stead?

I did read it, the problem lies in PS2. They are full in game terms, so in order to add anything into the glossary, they would have to take something out.

Why would you contradict yourself in the opening line? You usually contradict yourself as your post go on, not the start. They also stated that in order to expand it they would have to drop certain things given the limitation. You can still auto-translate everything your client sees but specific terms, so it's still pretty expansive, it's just new set terms they can't add without dropping or reorganizing older I believe was stated.
