View Full Version : Should all quests yield some EXP?

I'm sure you've thought of this at least once. Many players don't feel that quests (in general) are rewarding enough to do. Instead most players focus primarily on missions and levelling.

I know there are some quest options that yield exp: ENMs, Campaign Ops, Eco-Warrior (bet you forgot about it, as there is a level 20 cap), and I suppose you could count Besieged as a quest of sorts b/c of the story cutscenes that are played before and after battle.

WoTG was/is a step in the right direction with Campaign Ops. I have enjoyed doing the quests and getting some exp rewards.

What are your thoughts and feelings on quests yielding experience points? Does/should it matter anymore, considering the insane amount of exp standard established with Abyssea and GoV?

I don't expect much to come out of this post other than S-E possibly saying it would probably be too time consuming to add exp to everything. Couldn't they add some low-level Magian Trials that reward bonus experience points? FoV and GoV are great, but I feel level 60-70 drags on a bit.

Would be nice, even if only to entice more people to actually do them. Sure exp is easy to get, but more options wouldn't be a bad thing, especially for people who would like to advance in the game by experiencing more than just killing the same mob over and over again.

If the quest entails a battle or fighting of some sort, I'm fine with it.

Either that or gil. Both are easy to get as is.

Though I mainly did quests to add to the storyline.
