Looking for LS in Sylph

Hello everyone my name is Dicentra, and I'm posting an inquiry about possibly joining up with a friendly LS who doesn't mind aiding a new player like myself. I am dedicated and determined to learn all I can to become a great FFXI player, now all I need is someone willing to give me a helping hand. First off, no I am not looking for people to give me gil or to power level me. That is beneath me, I prefer working hard and earning my keep. I do have very little basic knowledge about this game and its mechanics. Please will someone help me?

Wow...so no takers huh? What a friendly lot you people are. I thought this was a community, where people help newbies out when they truly need it? I guess what other people say is true about most FFXI players, they are all a bunch of stuck up jerks who look down on others who haven't been playing since the games launch. Well I am so freakin sorry that I at the time was more worried about school and family, and now that I have more time on my hands and can actually play this game, I'm getting blown off! Fine, its whatever now! I will just continue to solo this entire game as much as possible, I know it will be difficult but I wont let a bunch of uptight snobs bring me down!

The server forums aren't used here often, if at all. Go to town, meet people, inquire about a ls. Sitting here insulting people you've never met before isn't going to help you. I have no problems with new players, but I do have a problem with your attitude. Gl getting into any sort of shell coming in with that kind of mentality. Perhaps ffxi isn't the game for you, but regardless, good luck.

Again, get out there, talk to people, try not to be an ass and maybe you'll make some friends. Ask your friends about joining their shell.

Hey Cream_Soda, you know what? You're absolutely right, I was acting like a complete ass and I would like to apologize for my rude behavior. I just figured that people would have responded by now since I have seen dozens of posts being answered within minutes of them being posted. I am sorry FFXI players for for being a jerk like that, I hope you guys can forgive me. I will go log in and I guess start asking around Sandy.
