Just wanted to flag up that the book/mob placement for GoV for low level players is really awkward. We tried to do some pages on characters in their teens. We were fairly well prepared and got to 'camp' safely but having to run past high level goblins which aggro (as opposed to the beetles/bats which don't) doesn't really make much sense. As a newer character, perhaps lacking a map it would be horrendous.
It just seems counterintuitive to have to run a character all the way through a large number of high level mobs to get to a low level xping area.

The Maze of Shakhrami is pretty bad too, but I think they fixed that one.

yeah, all the tunnels under the ruins have high lvl mobs in them, any part that is considered the tower(easily find out by looking on the map and checking the maps name on the top) will have the lower lvl ones. But yeah, there's a lot of low lvl quest's and missions that take you through their... they failed on the mob placement for that area too. All they had to do, was make one simple path without any gobs, and you'd be good. You can get the sneak/inv buff from the book, but you have to ditch inv to open the doors...
But all that aside... I'm surprised this hasn't gotten loaded down with people saying stuff like, "buy inv and sneak pots noob." while completely failing to remember what its like to first start out, or even have little to no gil. But it just goes to show, that SE only seems to be caring out the older player's with high level job's these days.

The "new and improved" Ranguemont Pass has the same issue.
