View Full Version : Dreamland Dynamis / Limbus / Einherjar adjustments?

I absolutely love the revisions made to regular Dynamis areas. Save from getting rid of the 500k lamp, can we at least expect to see a reduction in the wait to re-enter from 72 hours to 24? The same goes for Limbus and Einherjar. It just seems silly that we can enter Dynamis now once a day and not have similar adjustments to the other battlefield events.

They said they will be revising TAU events when they add the synergy augments for them.
Also, people still do Sea?

I would love to get a reason to do it, at least :p. Never got the chance to participate.

Also, people still do Sea?It's more important than ever to do sea for it's torques, sadly for Abyssea WS procs. In some cases WS gear, I guess. Also AV drops are still very much valid to own. So, yeah.

In the upcoming version update we will be reducing the cost of the Smouldering Lamp from 180,000gil to 60,000gil. 66% off anything is a deal in my book!

We will be making further adjustments to Einherjar in the future, so please continue to give us feedback.

I'd like to second this request. Tumbler trunks are nice, but they aren't nearly as cool looking.

Einherjar update is nice to hear!

Anything about Limbus? That's the only event we haven't heard anything about yet.

Since you're looking for einherjar suggestions... make more tiers please and add new gear :|. I love einherjar and I'd love to keep doing it. Please don't adjust the difficulty; it's already easy enough now as it is, except chair guy with only 6 people. If you want to make it harder, that's fine, but don't gimp it like everything else.

Make odin gear augmentable. Make at least 1 abjuration 100% from the normal tiers? With HNMs forced pops now, I don't think that's too much to ask.

I doubt SE has any plans to adjust the difficulty of Einherjar (though a guaranteed single abjuration drop would be neat), but I haven't heard anything about implementing augments for Phantasmal/Hadean abjuration gear.

Please provide more ichor rewards, I'm sitting on over a quarter million of them with nothing useful to spend them on.

You should be able to buy any abjuration you want with ichor. And not billions of ichor per abj either. Each einherjar t3 is harder than any HNM king fight you do anyhow so Dont make it have really stupid prices for abjs if thats what you are planning - ESPECIALLY since the HNMs arnt 21-24 hr pops anymore and even more annoying to pop.

And reduce the number of feathers required to do odin. 1 feather from each chamber for every person who is attending would be better entry requirements considering most of the rewards you get are now obsolete.

Make alexandrite buyable with ichor :|. Then people will actually have a reason to do einherjar.

Naw, let us trade items back to the NPC for some return on our Ampuoles. So I could buy Rubber stuff off the AH and trade it in for Amps <_<;

Einherjar comments:

1. Make entry into einherjar on a 24 hour timer from last entry.
2. Get a KI from Odin chamber win (all 9 feathers) that allows one to re-enter the chamber with 1 feather from each wing if person has KI. But need have it setup that the KI will only drop to ppl who entered with 9 feathers.
3. look @ rescaling the difficulty based on number of ppl who enter chamber.
4. Add 1 or 2 new gearset abj's; rest of odins armor set (hands, legs, feet); stuff to purchase with ichor off NPC.

Here's my two cents on Einherjar, from a person currently working on a Mythic.

Goal for Mythic: 100,000 Therion Ichor.

Solution: Allowing people to enter Einherjar more frequently (going along the lines of what has been done with Dynamis, the ability to enter daily sounds about right). Increased yield on Ichor wouldn't be necessary in this model; given, you would be able to enter more frequently, thus increasing your potential for building up your Ichor.

Where I do agree, is with the introduction of new items trade-able via Therion Ichor. Many people have either gotten to a point where they have everything they want, or are just stock piling their Ichor (people not working on Mythic rather). If there were a wider variety of *useful* items, people would feel a more renewed spirit towards participating in Einherjar, especially on a daily basis.

In terms of the difficulty, I believe it is fine the way it is. Definitely not the challenge it was at level 75; however, I don't think the intent is to just buff everything up so its difficult to us at 90 (or 95 for that matter).

Adding Tiers: This could be a viable option, and I'm sure it would provide for some renewed entertainment; however, I would hope it would be completely different paths with completely different end bosses. i.e. maybe introduce some of the other Gods from FF-lore that have yet to be used in XI' . Unfortunately this would probably mean introducing new story-line, something that up to this point has been dodged.

What not to do: NO PROCS'. Need I say this again? NO PROCS'. At this point, I'm sure most of the gaming community feel the same way, they are redundant. Einherjar has a level of mindless fun while bashing in the skulls of various enemies, the last thing I would want to have to do is add "gimicks" to how we smash in skulls, so P L E A S E, no Procs'!

I like the idea of granting a KI from odin's chamber. You already get one for completing all 9 chambers. They should just change it so that the KI allows you to enter odin's chamber once you have one feather from each tier like you said. Having to use mules is just silly, especially now when mules take up almost half of the people needed for the event >.>. This may alleviate some of the mythic frustration as well, considering you get quite a lot of ichor for defeating odin. I'm not against being able to do it once per day though.

Cheaper Einherjar costs - great. Except what is there worth going there for now? Ampoules? Well sure if you don't already have everything but almost all abjuration gear is not worth pursuing and the drop rates are too low for groups these days.

There's no point in farming ampoules for gear, because much if it isn't worth using or you already have and, unless you don't something about the 30,000 alexandrite needed for mythics, they won't be needing them for that either!

I love the event format. We beat Odin a few times. We were late to the party and even we managed 5-6 wins. But the interest died the minute empyrean armour was released.... And mythics... aren't worth it until you do SOMETHING about the alex quota. I have Captain, various wins, the weapon and even do Salvage. I've even started the WHM club but until I have a realistic chance of acquiring the alexandrite its pointless to go back to Einherjar to farm ampoules and there's nothing else worth going back for now.

So long as you're still playing around with ToaU, how about making Alexandrite available from sources other than Salvage. :)
