View Full Version : Give Tarutarus /spin

One of the signature Final Fantasy series animations is when characters spin around and thrust their fist into the air in a triumphant celebration or cheer.
The animation is already in FFXI for certain NPCs. Kaduru-Haiduru when you've paid him, and Sedal-Godjal can as well.
Wouldn't it be nice if player character Tarutarus could do it as well? The animation is already there, it's just a matter of letting us do it.
...and while you're at it, could the rest of us do it as well? If nothing else, at least let Tarus do it.:D
That isn't the only motion that npcs have and players don't :( like the /love motion of some mithra npc.

It always made me envious how the Ark angel TT could float like that and my little taru mule couldn't. :( Just saying.

Well if you're getting that, then every other race needs a /punt emote. Complete with a latent effect that when performed on a Taru, the Taru goes flying through the air ^^

This made me chuckle.
Also... why not a slap motion? I really wish the game had one sometimes, it'd be amusing as at least for me when I use it it's just joking around with friends... and even if not, I don't see it as making it any worse. :)

Oh man... it's one thing with your friends, but I think this animation was not added for a very good reason.

Eh, I understand that... but if it wasn't a very elaborate animation I don't see it being much worse since the intention is there anyway. Just thought I'd say it. :) Can you imagine a taru trying to slap any of the other races? :P

Honestly weapon specific victory fanfare emotes would be super awesome. I'm sure everyone can think of their favorite ff character and their victory animation since they started doing unique ones.

I think they were trying to do that with /hurray. You just want more twirling!!! And why not?

I don't know why, but for years now, I've wanted my galka to have the /pushups emote while just waiting on crap to happen lol. That and /checkweapon... where my character takes a close look to make sure the weapon he's using is in mint condition :)
Yes to Race specific emotes btw! And Victory music... and /pullmithrastail emote just for game balance. ^^

The devs already added job emotes... race emotes (and perhaps weapon emotes) would be a nice touch.

I have always imagined that they were closer to siamese kitties...either way as a taru, I don't have many ways to get revenge when kitties /punt me, so I hafta resort to sneakin' up an' shavin' their tails....or the old taru standby, /gnaws at kneecaps lol

Actually, what I would love to see with the Fanfare used as a full song in an Apocalypse Nigh-type quest for ToAU and WotG, in the cutscene after you beat whatever boss for that fight. Or some other really important post-fight cutscene, but I would love to see an Apocalypse Nigh-type quest for ToAU and WotG to tie up the loose ends.
